Introduction
Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I would ever publish any of my poetry. Yet, here I am.
I am not pretentious enough to believe that each poem here displays any great amount of talent. Some may be quite lacking in that department, as a matter of fact. But, they are mine.
Within these words, I have cultivated a myriad of emotions into thoughts on paper. My affair with the written word has always been a private one. Each syllable expressed here is a teardrop or a note of laughter which I have experienced and then stored away somewhere in the archives of my mind.
A poem is a fragile thing...it leaves the author feeling vulnerable and sometimes very raw and exposed. After finishing one, I sometimes shake with the relief of having expelled it from my body. It's a powerful experience, and one that I anticipate as each word flows forth from the pen.
I'm hoping that you will be gentle with the work that appears on these pages....enter now, and remember, each one is a piece of my soul.....
