Jac and Jo's Homepage

Jac and I live in Vancouver, British Columbia. We live in the "West End" neighborhood, meaning the downtown area. We live on the 14th (actually the 13th, but this floor number was skipped!) floor of a high-rise between Davie St. and English Bay. Davie St. is a popular urban area with many small shops and restaurants, while there is a small beach and extraordinary sunsets on the Bay.

The picture on the left is from our balcony at night.

Vancouver is a wonderful area. The city is surrounded by mountains and ocean water. Jac is shown on the right, during a recent hiking trip on Mt. Seymour.

We have five, yes FIVE cats. We are one of those annoying couples who do not refer to their cats as "pets", but rather as "babies".

Oreo, relaxing on the balcony
under the sunbrella.
Double-Stuff, showing his softer
side with a mouse-doll.
Willie, sleeping in her usual
fashion on the futon.
Boo, sleeping... Acid, sleeping, too!

Recent Events:

July 4: We visited Point Roberts on the American Independence Day. Point Roberts is American soil that can only be accessed (by land) through Canada. It is a small penninsula just south of Delta, BC. It is about 30 miles south of Vancouver, so we just spent the day there.

July 14-18: We visited San Francisco, CA. A friend of ours was getting married, so we took the opportunity to explore the Bay area a bit. We visited San Fran., Sausilito, and the Sonoma valley. It was very relaxing, and a wonderful time.

Recent Events 2005:

July 9th: On our 6th anniversary (!), we hiked up to Garibaldi Lake. It was an amazing but tough climb which was rewarded with spectacular views of the brilliantly green-blue Garibaldi Lake, and nice mountain meadow views as well...

Also in July: We visited Golden Ears provincial park for a very leisurely "hike" (really a walk) up to some small falls along a small stream, but the views are nice. We also visited Capilano River canyon, home to a drinking water reservoir, and we also visited Mt Baker in Washington...
