This 4 cyl., 3 speed was restored 20 years ago. It had its first tour in 1963 and to date had its last tour in November 1999. The Coons have been members of our club for 37 years. Larry is the Tour Chairman and has also served as President two terms.


This 1957 Metropolitan is owned by Phyllis Coon of Hoopeston, IL. This car underwent a full restoration 10 years ago. It features a 4 cyl., 3 speed and only has 37,xxx miles on it. This 1966 Mustang Coupe is owned by Larry & Phyllis Coon of Hoopeston, IL. This California Mustang includes a 289 2v, AC, PS, PB, Wire Caps and has 76,xxx miles. This car is still Original except for paint.




These Whizzers are owned by Larry Coon of Hoopeston, IL. The Whizzer on the left is a 1948 unrestored. The Whizzer on the right is a 1947 on a Schwinn Frame. This bicycle has been restored.




This 1961 Chevrolet Impala Two-Door Hardtop, or better known as a "Bubbletop", belongs to Doug & Delora Hanner of Oakwood, IL. This car was purchased from an area car dealer in 1988. Originally this car was purchased from a private individual in Arizona, this was the person who installed a 402 Big Block out of a 1971 Caprice with a 400 Automatic Transmission. This 61 was originally equipped with a small horsepower 348 and Powerglide Transmission. Additional options are PS, PB, Dual Exhaust, No Radio, and 8 inch Corvette Rally Wheels with Goodyear Eagles. This 1942 Plymouth belongs to Bill Massey who purchased it from an estate auction in 1991. Bill is the second owner of this automobile and has quite an interesting little story. In 1942, after the start of WWII, the government had rationed tires, fuel, and raw materials used in the production of equipment for the war. Mr. Stump needed tires for his Chevrolet but was told he could not purchase them. He did learn that he could buy a new car, so he came home with this Plymouth. The trim was painted when it was built by the factory, and yes, the gray trim is as it was originally built. The color is Airwing Gray. The car sold for $935.00 plus options which included fender skirts, incidentally Bill has the original skirts. There were 68,924 Plymouths of this model built in 1942. The engine is original, but has been rebuilt due to sitting for 25 years. It has a 218 Cubic Inch Engine with 95 Horse Power. It is built on a 117 inch Wheelbase and has a 3.9 Rear Axle Ratio. It had 73,344 miles on it when Bill brought it home in 1991.

This 1973 Plymouth Valiant belongs to Bill Massey who purchased it from an estate. This car only has 17,xxx miles and is obviously original. It had been sitting in a garage for nearly 25 years when Bill rescued it. This 73 features a 318, PS, PB and the most trim available on a 1973 Plymouth.



This 1951 Pontiac Sedan Coupe is one of only 319 manufactured in 1951. It belongs to John and Gail Kincaid of Gibson City, IL. It has a Straight 8 with a Stick Transmission.




This beautiful 1954 Chevy 1/2 Ton Stepside Pickup is owned by Don Longer of Danville, IL. This beauty just went through a 2 year restoration. Restoration included: New Interior, New Bed w/Oak Wood, Brakes Rebuilt, Most Wiring Replaced with 12 Volt Conversion and New Tires. All Interior and Exterior was stripped to bare metal and repainted with DuPont Acrylic Enamel. Don't miss this truck at Midwest Car Shows this Season.

Ralph Cummings is the proud owner of this 1926 Model T. This Model T has been completely restored from the ground up by Ralph and his son Michael of Westville, IL. Michael has sold DuPont automotive paint for 25 years and did the awesome paint job on this car. This Model T has had the privilege of being on the Kings Of The Highway year 2000 calendar. Many awards have been won in East Central Illinois and Western Indiana with this Model T.

This 1977 Ford Thunderbird is owned by Wallace and Mary Deck.





This 982 Buick Riviera Convertible was formerly owned by Tammy Wynette and Wallace and Mary won this car in a raffle.





This 1964 Dodge Polara Convertible is owned by Don Longer of Danville, IL. It ias a Golden Anniversary Model for Dodge (1914-1964). Base Cost was $2976 with options and a $60 destination charge, this car had a Grand Total of $3611. This car was sold new by Mike's Motor Company in Clinton, IN and Don is the second owner of this 53,xxx miles car. Chrome, interior and top are all original. The car was repainted in 1992. It features a 318 CI wide block engine with Automatic Push Button Transmission and Power Steering.
