March 25th, 2000 at the Metropolis Comm. Center with Unenlightened and Krakt. Punching Bag was suppossed to play, but had to cancel. Unenlightened played first to a fairly small crowd. I was taking money during their set, so I can't say how well they played. The crowd started arriving around 8:00 and by the time we hit the stage the place had a good amount of people in it. In my opinion, this was our best show without a doubt. We had a great show and this was our first with Bradley. He worked out well (at least he played and had a sense about what he was doing, unlike a former bassist). I think the whole band enjoyed themselves. After playing our 12 song set, we decided we'd do one more song with the assistance of Eric from Krakt. We covered Slipknot's "Surfacing" as a closing song with me (Stephen) smashing my guitar. Our setlist is below:
Next Krakt played. If you haven't heard these guys, let me tell you they are awesome. In my opinion, they are the best local band I have heard. We enjoy playing with them a lot. The put on a great show with a mix of originals and covers. To close the whole show, Josh B. picked up a bass, Dillon and Jarrett beat on a keg, and I sang backups along with Krakt who played an outstanding version of Slipknot's "Spit It Out". I've heard this show called the one of the best ever. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.
