Good Shepherd is conveniently located on one of the main thoroughfares
of Collinsville, between Highways #157 and #159 and near the cross-roads of
interstates 55, 70 and 270. This location makes Good Shepherd easily accessible
from many communities and places the school within easy access of the main commuter
entry points to metropolitan St. Louis. We are located about 20 minutes from
downtown St. Louis.

and 4 (3 half-days).
- Morning and afternoon half-day kindergarten sessions (5 half-days).

- Child Care: Full-day center for children ages 3 and 4 and those in kindergarten,
Before and After School Care for students in kindergarten and grades 1 through
8, Summer Camp for students completing grades 1 through 7.

Hours of Operation:
- Preschool: Morning sessions 8:30 to 11:00am, Afternoon sessions Noon
to 2:30pm
- Kindergarten: Morning session 8:30 to 11:15am, Afternoon session 12:15
to 3:00p.m.
- Grades 1 through 3: 8:30am to 3:00p.m. (classrooms open at 7:45am)
- Grades 4 through 8: 8:30am to 3:10p.m. (classrooms open at 7:45am)
- Child Care: 6:00am to 6:00p.m.
- Before School Care: 6:30 to 7:45am
- After School Care: 3:00 to 6:00p.m.
Achievement:
Achievement tests are administered annually in the spring of the year to
children in kindergarten through grade 8. The following results are from the
Stanford Achievement Test, Eighth Edition, 1991 national norms, which was administered
in the spring of 2000.
- Average Grade Equivalency: 1 year 8 months above grade level
(This means the average student scored almost 2 years above his grade level.
Please note that this average is less in the lower grades. It increases as the
students advance through the grades resulting in an average in the upper grades
which is greater than 2 years above grade level.)
- Average Percentile: 78.1%
(This means the average student did as well as or better than about 79 out
of 100 students in a nation-wide sample.)

- Kindergarten = 12.5 students per adult
- Grades 1 through 8 = Average of 23 students per homeroom teacher
