Illinois History Project
Each 8th grader must do an Illinois history project. It includes researching a topic that pertains to Illinois history. They need to answer the questions on the summary sheet as they are researching the topic. After the research has been completed they do the physical part of their project. They will take their project and typed summary sheet to the regional history fair at Carbondale in March. They may choose from one of the following categories for their project: model, exhibit or miscellaneous. Following are examples of projects from each of the categories and a sample summary sheet. Included are the guidelines and the questions to be answered for the summary sheet.
