My Musical Influences: 
Alright...let's get this ball rolling..
My taste in music is one of widest, most odd you could ask for! My tastes range all the way from Rob Zombie to Celine Dion and everything in between. Everything!
I like very little rap(Will Smith is great though!)
some opera('Phatom of The Opera' and musicals done by Andrew Lloyd Weber stick out)
country(mainly modern females--I love Deana Carter! Dixie Chicks, Thrisa Yearwood, Lorrie Morgan, Wyonna, Shania Twain, LeAnn Rimes, etc. And Tammy Wynette is pretty cool)
classical(Bach,Gershiwn, Beethoven, Mozart, the list goes on)
little folk(okay..there is a little! Kingston Trio and Peter,Paul, and Mary)
disco(anything from the Bee Gees and various other artists)
a little Funk even
a small portion of jazz(Dave Brubeck,etc.)
and of course Rock N' Roll!
Rock N' Roll leads to my all-time favorite band...without a doubt it's the Beach Boys/Brian Wilson! Brian Wilson is my all-time hero! The Beach Boys have done almost every style of music! They are my life's soundtrack..no matter what mood or what's happening..there's always a Beach Boy song to fit it for me! They are my main influence; in my music and my life that is. Now, I don't write much "music" mainly lyrics, although I have some. There is also a definite Wilson Phillips influence. They are probably my second favorite band.
I also love the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Paula Abdul, some Beatles, almost all '50s-'70s songs..'60s being my favorite, Prince and Madonna are pretty cool. Belinda Carisle, early Mariah Carey, Bush, Savage Garden, Sugar Ray, Barenaked Ladies, Smash Mouth, Ricky Martin, the list goes on and on and on. But, remember the Beach Boys/Brian Wilson have no competion!! Everyone else I like wouldn't even be in the top 10 because 1-10 is BB/BW dominated! Bottum Line: I am the biggest Beach Boys' fan in the world.
