So i should tell you a bit about me at this point, huh? I'm doing a lot of searching right now. Searching for what God wants for me here, searching for a better-paying job to pay my bills, searching for my soulmate, searching for a good book. There's nothing wrong with searching, in fact, that is the sum of my existence. CS Lewis wrote once that all our soul sees are tantalizing glimpses, promises not quite fulfilled because we don't belong here. I have a different home. A home i've never seen and will not see until i leave this world behind. "But if it should really become manifest-if there ever came an echo that did not die away but swelled into the sound itself-you would know it. It is the secret signature of your soul." Right now i'm living in Music City, USA with my new friend Courtney. I'm 22 and a recent graduate of Greenville College with a BA in Communication: Theatre. Right now i'm working at a coffee shop and trying to get a theatre job, but not having much luck. I'm the oldest of ten kids and can't imagine life any other way. My brother Jo is getting out of the Air Force in June to go to college. My sister Becki is in the Air Force too and is busy learning her job. The twins, John and James, both joined the Army. James is currently at West Point Military Academy while John is at basic training in MO. Our family is a military family, my dad was in the air force and my mom was raised in it, so it's only appropriate that some of my siblings join, but they'll never get me. I love drinking hot tea and curling up with a good book for the afternoon. I've done a lot of theatre stuff and cant seem to get enough of it. My junior year was an active one in the realm of theatre for me- i wrote my first play and had it produced by my high school- The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe- adapted from the children's book by C.S. Lewis. I directed my first show, The Boor by Anton Chekhov and loved that a lot as well. I then ended the year by starting a theatre program in my hometown for local kids. It was a ton of work, but well worth it. After i graduated, i got a job at a summerstock theatre in Indiana where i got my first professional theatre experience. I met a great friend, Lindsay, and even had a bit of romance with Casey in addition to learning more about myself and what i want to do with my life. Overall, Shawnee was great for me, but i wouldn't go back there if they offered me the lottery (well, maybe then).
