           Bobby Joe Oldham, age 70, of Celeste passed away on Monday, January 3, 2005 in

           a Dallas hospital. Services for Mr. Oldham will be held on Friday, January 7,

           2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Ralson

           officiating. Burial will follow at McWright Cemetery. Visitation was held

           Thursday, January 6, 2005 at the funeral home.

           Mr. Oldham was born on October 12, 1934 in Lepanto, Arkansas to Junious Oldham

           and Hattie Hogan Oldham. On November 10, 2001, he married Deanna "Dee" Clark

           in Celeste. He served in the US Navy and was a retired school custodian from

           Plano Independent School District. Mr. Oldham belonged to American Legion Post

           321 in Plano and was a member of the Baptist church.

          

           Survivors include his wife, Deanna "Dee" Oldham of Celeste; two sons: USN

           Retired Kelly W. Oldham of Coffeyville, Kansas and Robert "Bobby" Oldham of

           Springfield, Missouri; and five daughters: Deborah Gaither and Vicky Ashmore

           of McKinney; Tracy Oldham and Rhonda Grossi of Coffeyville, Kansas; and Pamela

           Bouknight of Meridian, Mississippi. He is also survived by two brothers: Frank

           Oldham of Ft. Collins, Colorado; and Billy Ray Oldham of Celeste; one sister,

           Wanda Bennett of Palm Springs, California; two step-daughters: Tamara Riley of

           Haworth, Oklahoma and Debra Dearing of Lone oak; one step-son, Jimmy Dearing

           of St. Charles, Missouri; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

          

           Mr. Oldham is preceded in death by wife, Opal Oldham in 1999; his parents; a

           brother; and two grandsons.

          

           His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be

           the Military Honor Guard.

Billy Ray Oldham

       

Billy Oldham of Allen passed away after a short illness on December 29, 2008. Billy was born in Weiner, Arkansas on May 12, 1937.

His parents were the late Junius Larue and Hattie (Hogan) Oldham. Billy had served with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars locally.

Billy married Lela Margaret Fietz on July 6,1972 in Durant, Oklahoma. Before retiring Billy was an auto mechanic. He was also a member of the Church of God Pentecostal Church.

Surviving Billy is his wife, Lela Margaret Oldham of Allen, Texas; sons, Billy Ray Oldham, Jr. of Indio California, Robert Charles Oldham of Allen, Texas and Cory Alan Cole of Allen, Texas; daughters, Christine Hooper of Wylie, Texas, Cindy Smith of Wylie, Texas and Catherine DeFries of Allen, Texas; sister, Wanda Bennett of Palm Springs, California; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Besides Billy's parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Laverner Thomas and Bobby Joe Oldham.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 1, 2009 from 6:00-8:00PM at Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on Friday January 2, 2009 at 1:00pm in the Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Chaplain John Lewis officiated the service.

Interment followed at the Millwood Cemetery in Lavon, Texas.

Funeral services were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home.
