My daddy's favorite guitarist and musician is Eric Clapton. I like him too, he kinda looks like my daddy! During Eric's World Tour in 2001, he came to Chicago at the very end of July. Mommy and daddy did not go to the concert because they were afraid mommy might have the baby during the show. So, daddy was sad to miss him and asked his friends to try and get a guitar pick for him. My Aunt Mimi in Mississippi (she's a Monti like me but daddy says we're not related) told my daddy she was going to see the show in Phoenix, Arizona and she would make a little sign asking for a pick. Well, she went to the show early and stood in front of the stage with the sign but no one even looked at her. After the concert, Aunt Mimi and one of her friends went back up to the stage to try again and one of Eric's crew members threw a handful of picks into the crowd. Everyone was scrambling for a pick and one landed on the chair right next to my Aunt Mimi! Her friend picked it up and gave it to her. She then sent it to my daddy as a present! My daddy was very excited. He says Aunt Mimi is a really nice lady. I think so too! She sent me a present when Lissie was born and she sent one for her too! Here is a picture of the guitar pick (sorry for the scan, tortoise shell picks don't scan very well).
Thanks again Aunt Mimi!
