Maintenance difficulty: This fish is easy to keep compared to some of it's cousins like Achilles tang.
Maintenance: It is important that you feed Tangs a good variety of live, frozen, and prepared formula foods with emphasis in vegetable and spirulina. Best to feed small amounts several times a day to give it a good variety and a healthier tang for you.
Habitat: Natural goegraphic location: Found in the Pacific from Indonesia and Australia area to Japan, Hawaii, and Tuamotu. It swims at depths of 15 to 45 feet deep.
Foods: Mainly found grazing on algae.
Social Behaviours: Can get territorial especially if another tang is added to a tank with an already established tang. So I would watch out and probally only have this one tang in your tank.
Sexual differences: None except females grow larger than males, but this is hard to tell since they all grow so big.
Light: Found in areas with sunlight so it would appreicate as much light as you can give it.
Breeding: I don't think this has been done yet but if you have please share!
Temperature: Normal temperatures for marine fish is between 75 and 79 degrees.
Length/Diameter of fish: Adults can grow to 16 inches! This is no small fish when full grown!
Minimum Tank Length/Size: A minimum 55 gallon aquarium is good. But when they are full grown I would recommend a 100 gallon aquarium probally.
Water Movement: No special requirements here.
Water Region: Swims all over the aquarium but has it's territory still.
Availability: This fish is usually readily available and is not too expensive.
