Also called, the lipstick Tang, this is a beatiful fish that can be heard to acclimate to captivity, but once it is it can live for many years!

This fish is moderately difficult to keep. Start by feeding it brine shrimp and blanched lettuce.

Mainly found grazing on leafy brown algae such as Sargassum and Dicyota.

Probally will not be accomplished in captivity.

No special requirements. Normal temperatures for marine fish is between 75 and 79 degrees farenheit.
Length/Diameter of the fish:
Adults can grow to 20 inches. This is a very large fish. Make sure you have a very large tank!
Minimum Tank Length/Size
A minimum 125 is recommended for a ful grown adult. Juveniles are often kept in a 55 gallon or larger. This ok since the fish grows rather slowly.
