These striking angels have been touted as a very good fish for reef tanks. This is generally true of most of the pygmy angels although any angelfish in a reef must be observed carefully because they are not completely trustworthy. At times they have been known to destroy corals, sponges, etc.

It is important that you feed angelfish all kinds of live, frozen, and prepared formula foods. Best to feed small amounts several times a day. A good formula that can be made at home consists of mussels, shrimp, squid, and spinach.

Scattered accross the western Pacific at depths of 16-82 ft.

Meaty foods and greenstuff. Grazer.

In the aquarium they are not aggressive, a good community fish

No special requirements. Normal temperatures for marine fish lies between 75 and 79 degrees.

A minimum 30 gallon aquarium is recommended.
