FOLLOW THE PROGRESS
N7061U, S/N 18868

Here are pictures of the 727-100 that has just been cut to yield 25 feet of the fuselage, prior to transport. IRVING JENSEN, restorer extraordinaire, will soon begin an extensive meticulous restoration for his preservation project in Sioux City, Iowa. We've been working with Irving to obtain as many parts as possible to return UAL, N7061U to 1970 form. APHS located the airframe and many needed parts; however, Irving has funded the project himself...he is a genuine 727 lover, and we extend to him our appreciation for preserving such a great piece of history in such a magnificent fashion. We plan to keep updating this area as he progresses.

Here is the main panel that is going into N7061U. It is from a sister ship of 7061, and is yet to be restored.

Ready to depart for Sioux City.(Buddy Chapman and his crew from Chapman trucking. Real pros when it comes to moving airplanes.)
