This tin helmet is more representitive of the Dark Ages, shortly
after the fall of Rome, then it is for the Roman Republic, or Roman Empire.
This makes the helmet a bit out of period for The Eternal City, however
we are not strictly based on Rome. These helmets are cheap and very
flimsy, (what do you expect it's tin). They offer more protection
then a leather helmet, but not by much. Weapons such as the club,
axe, and even a good sword hit, can easily cleve one of these in half.
These tend to be issued to second line troops from the Aestivan league,
but due to their cheap nature, are often sold in the Republic as well.
They only offer protection for the head, my advice is unless you are very
poor, buy a bronze helmet instead.
