 Falcata
Weapon
  The falcata is a one handed sword primarily used by the later Etruscans, and by the Spanish during the second Punic war.  The weapon has about a 18 to 20 inch blade making it roughly the same size as a gladius. The origin of the falcata can be traced from earlier greek designs, such as the Kopis.   It's S shape style is ideal for slashing attacks, causing devastating damage, though it is a weak stabbing weapon.  The hand guard of this weapon is rather unique to Greek and Etruscan designs.
  The falcata is found in many areas of Midlight, however it is not an overly popular sword.  It is almost never seen in the Republic of Iridine, and so those wishing to purchase the weapon most due so by contacting the occasional weapon smith that wanders through the city.
