	These are the standard helmets of the legions of Rome, used from the earliest times of the Republic, till the late empire. Originally made of iron, this style of helmet was later made in iron. Over the centuries of it's use this helmet received only superficial changes, mostly to it's appearance, though a structural brace was later placed on the top of the helmet. This style of helmet was originally developed from the Celts, especially the cheek pieces, which are under debate as to whether the celts invented these themselves, or inherited the design from the Etruscans. At any rate they were standard issue to any recruit in the Roman Legions and stayed that way till the fall of Rome. These helmet are made from solid bronze, and provide very good protection for the head, but no protection for the face, or neck. A must for all warriors, and anyone planing on joining the Legio, or who enjoys keeping their head squarly attached to their neck. These helmets are very rarely seen outside the ranks of Iridines legions, or warriors hailing from the Republic.
