CUT TO:  INT. HERALD NEWSPAPER - JAKE McKINNON'S OFFICE

Jake has his arms full of files to check over that he received from major city newspapers from around the United States.  The files contain possible leads on runaway teens.  Jake dumps the files on the large mound of paperwork that is already on his desk.  "God, what am I doing?  I've got to pull myself together.  Everyone is leaving stories here for me to OK so they can make their deadlines.  I need some help.  Wait a minute.  I know
who can help."  Jake picks up the phone and punches in a 2-digit number. "Hi, it's Jake.  If you're not busy, can you come to my office?  Thanks. "Jake takes a box off one of the chairs in his office so his employee will have a place to sit.  While waiting, Jake turns on his computer and a familiar voice squeaks, "You've got mail."  Jake is about to open his mail when he hears a knock on his door.

Jake:  Come in.

ENTER LISA

Lisa:  Hi Jake.  How are you?

Jake:  Well if this pile on my desk was quicksand, I'd be asking you to throw me a rope. (motions for Lisa to sit down on the empty chair)Actually, I am going to ask you to throw me a rope.

Lisa:  Jake, I know you're going through so much right now with Sean's leaving and with Steven's insolence but you have me confused about throwing you a rope.

Jake:  As you can see (waving his arms over his desk) I have the makings of Mount St. Helens on what used to be my desk.  It's a disaster.  I know that I hired you as a photographer but I was wondering ...

Lisa:  If I could bring in a big scoop shovel and get rid of this mess?

Jake: YES....NO (looks confused, then realizes Lisa's teasing him) HA-HA. Don't you know, it's not nice to tease the boss.

Lisa:  I'm sorry Jake.  I just couldn't resist.  It was worth it to see a  smile on your face.  Even if it didn't last long.

Jake:  Well, between Steven's shenanigans, Kirk's ADD and Sean's MIA status, there hasn't been a lot to smile about lately.

Lisa:  Jake, don't lose hope.  Maybe there will be some news soon.

Jake:  Maybe.  Lisa, I know I asked you this once before when Paulina was missing but you haven't had any "visions" of Sean or Sara, have you?

Lisa:  No Jake, I'm sorry.  It's not something I can control, it just kinda comes and goes.

Jake:  I know.  (waving his arms over the pile)  Now, what do you say? Care to stop shooting for a while and help me make heads or tails out of this stuff?

Lisa:  Sure, Jake.  I get paid the same whether I'm a photographer or your secretary.  Where would you like me to start?

Jake: Why don't you sit in my chair and work at the desk.  You'll be more comfortable.

Lisa:  Thanks, Jake.  It is getting harder to move around.  I'll sure be glad when July is here.

Jake:  Unless the baby comes late.

Lisa:  Bite your tongue!

Lisa takes a pile of stories and leafs through them. She notices that the mailbox on Jake's computer screen is up.

Lisa:  Jake, did you know that "you have mail"?

Jake:  Yeah, I'll get to it later.  I doubt if it's anything important.

Lisa (touching the keyboard then quickly jerking her hand away as if she'd received a shock):  JAKE,  I think you should read your mail.

Jake:  Lisa, I told you, it's probably just junk (turns to face Lisa and sees the color drained from her face)  Lisa!  What's wrong? (he rushes to her side)  Are you OK?  What happened?

Lisa:  I just went to turn off the screen and when I touched the keyboard I got a strange sensation.

Jake:  Oh, God.  Lisa, excuse me.

Lisa and Jake switch places.  Jake opens his mail.  He looks at the screen bows his head and makes two fists and raises them to his head.

Jake: YES!  I KNEW IT.  HE'S STILL ALIVE.  THANK GOD.

Jake reads the email from Sean.

Dear Aunt Vicky and Uncle Jake,

I know that right now you must be really angry with me for pullin up like I did.  Since you did so much for me in the past year, you deserve an explanation.  Jake do you remember that day when I told you that some girl was accusing me of you know, getting her pregnant?  I told you that there was no possible way that it could be true, but it was true.

When I found out that Sara was pregnant, my first instinct was to hide it from you even though you told me that you and Aunt Vicky would be supportive in any way, shape or form.  I couldn't tell you guys because you had so much going on with the twins, Kirkland and Steven.  I didn't want to add any more to the already full plates that you had.

Anyway, I'm writing to tell you that both Sara and I are fine.  I also wanted to thank you for being there for me.  You guys have been awesome, and I will miss you.  As soon as Sara has the baby, I will send you some pictures through email.  Oh and Uncle Jake, I'm sorry I took the emergency money. I will pay you back as soon as possible.  I couldn't let Sara run away with my child.  I'm going to be a dad can you believe that?

Sean

There's a tear in the corner of his eye as he finishes the email.  He looks at Lisa who was reading behind Jake's shoulder.

Jake:  He's OK. (wipes at his eye)  They're both OK. Oh Lisa, this is good news.

Lisa (hugging Jake): Yes, it is. It's very good news. You should call Vicky and let her know.

Jake:  Yes, I also need to let Dennis know. But first I need to call the police station and see if they can help me.

Lisa:  Help you?

Jake:  Yes, Sean just made his first mistake.  By sending his letter by email, with help from the police, we should be able to track down his server and hopefully get an address on his whereabouts. I've got a good feeling about this Lisa.  I better call the cop shop so we can get started.

Lisa:  I'll call Dennis if you'd like?

Jake:  That would be great Lisa. Thanks.

LISA EXITS TO CALL DENNIS AS JAKE CALLS THE BCPD AND WE FADE TO BLACK (Jen and Missy/Letter by Sara)

CUT TO EXT., THE STREET OUTSIDE PETER AND DONALD'S HOUSE

DONNA:  Oh, Matthew, this just has to be him!

MATT:  Well, there's no denying the resemblance.  But I still think you should do a blood test, just to be sure.

DONNA:  He will come round, won't he?

MATT:  He'd better, or he's going to miss out on getting to know one classy lady.

DONNA:  (Leaning on his chest) Oh, Matthew!  I wasn't asking for a compliment.  I just need some reassurance.

MATT:  Give him some time.  This was an awful shock for him.  I'm sure Peter can help him through it, and he'll be calling in no time.

DONNA:  And another thing.  What about this Peter?

MATT:  What do you mean?

DONNA:  Do you think they're . . .

MATT:  (Ushering her to the passenger door and opening it for her) I think you'll have plenty of time to get to know him when he's ready to get to know you.

DONNA:  Oh, Matthew, you make it sound like a show tune or something.

MATT:  At least we know he's got good taste.

DONNA:  (Getting into her seat) What are you talking about?

MATT:  Well, he said I was cute.  And smart, too.

Matt closes the passenger door before Donna can respond.

FREEZE FRAME (Frank)

CUT TO: LOVE’S TOWERS - DUBOIS'S APARTMENT

Thierry was so happy about his new contract. It was an interesting project and a big challenge for him. If Nick and Sofia are satisfied that means more contracts. Ouf!!! Finally things were starting to go in the right direction.  Then Sophie came in totally furious. She pitched her coat through the living, sat on the couch, got up, sat again. Theirry went toward her in slow motion. He knew when Sophie was like this it was better to wait than force her to talk. Suddenly, she got up and paced up and down the living room.

(Ha! That one! She told us that she is our friend and she is closed to any little change.)

(It went bad your appointment with June?)

(Bad, Bad. It was dreadful. She didn't want to know anything about the project. She told me that she was not interested, it would be a conflict of interest because we were friends.)

Thierry with a little suspiction: Lui as-tu parlé du malentendu qui était survenu avec Paulina et Joe? (Did you tell her about the little misunderstanding with Paulina and Joe?)

(What do you think? Of course! And it was at that moment that she started to soften up.)

(I thought that you would do something like this. You were not  happy that she talked to Joe before us.)

(Listen Thierry, we are strangers here, we are trying to bond with our daughter who already has a wonderful family and there is that, that, that person who causes troubles. YES I was angry with her.)

(So why didn't you confront her as early as you knew.?)

(You know the saying: Good things come to those who wait. I preferred to wait until everything was okay and when the moment would be best. So, when she refused the project under the pretext that she had a conflict of interest...I changed the  subject to the little misunderstanding that we had with the Carlino's. You should've seen her face. Oh la, la that was so fun.)

Thierry with a ironic smile: Tu as obtenu quoi en retour de notre amitié?(What did you get in exchange?)

(Well, I was told that I can present the project to the city council's meeting. And I will try to convince  them that the project is a crucial one for Bay City's teenagers.)

(Then they both laughed) (Then, I'm not worried. When you decide to compete for a project, no one can beat you.)

(Yep, except that I don't know who can help me now. I was hoping so much for June's help.)

(So, why  don't you ask Carl and Rachel. After all, it was Rachel who asked you to think about "Maison des jeunes".)

(Hey, that is a wonderful idea. I will think about it and phone them to see what we can do together.)

Thierry: Super! (Fine! So, it will be a career change for you?)

Sophie: Oui. (Yes. I was starting to get bothered by those trials. I always loved to be involved with youth and it is what I will do starting now. I hope that Remy will be pleased about this news.)

Thierry: Et de la mienne aussi. ( And by mine too.)

(What do you mean?)

(I got a contract this morning.)

Sophie: Youppi!!! Cela semble s'arranger pour nous. (Yippy!! Things are starting to look okay for us.) (France)

CUT TO: INT. HALLIDAY RESIDENCE

Cindy had just finished setting the dinner table and took the crescent rolls out of the oven.  She tossed the salad and placed it on the table.  The baked chicken was placed on plates and garnished with asparagus.  The baked potatoes were unwrapped and put on separate plates.  Finally she took one last look at the dreamy dessert in the refrigerator before she clapped her hands together.

Cindy:  David is going to love this.

She runs upstairs to quickly freshen up before interrupting him in the study.  As she runs back down the stairs, she smiles widely that she has fulfilled her wifely duty that day and was able to make a fabulous dinner.

Cindy:  David, dinner is ready.  (peeking in the study)

David:  You look gorgeous.  What is the occasion?

Cindy:  Just because.

David: I like these just because things.  It's great that you are so energetic today.

Cindy:  I woke up and I hadn't felt better in months.  I just hope that it stays this way.

David:  What are we having?

Cindy:  We are having baked chicken, asparagus, and potatoes.  But, you will have to just be surprised at dessert.

David:  If we make it that far.

Cindy: (giving him a playful jab):  We will make it to dessert or then again we could always take it to the bedroom with us.

David:  I like the sound of that.  Have aliens come and taken the Cindy that I started to get used to lately?

Cindy:  It's the weirdest thing honey, I just woke up feeling like a million bucks today.  I don't know what has come over me lately.

David:  Well I sure don't want to see it again, I hope that whatever
it was is over now.

Cindy:  That makes two of us.  Come on let's not jinx my good luck, let's go eat.  I'm starved.

David:  So am I.  Looking over boring London financial reports can be a bore. But I did find one interesting thing today.

Cindy:  What is that?

David:  That there is someone from Bay City who is invested in the same company as I am.  (Rachel)
