In this scene Todd has just gotten back from Chicago where Peter Manning has died. He looks over and there sits Rebecca, about to board a plane to Texas. Todd begs her to stay, that he needs her. She says that she needs to go away and find out who she is. She tells Todd that she loves him and always did and that he will always been in her heart no matter where she is. Todd is upset that if he hadn't run into her, she would have left without saying goodbye. She tells him that she didn't know how to say goodbye to him. She leaves Llanview...and Todd
