This scene takes place right after Todd's ordeal with Powell. He asks Marty to stay behind, he wants to talk to her. He tells her he is sorry for what he did to her. This time he really knows what he and the others did to her that night. He tells her that his hand were tied and there was a sweatband in his mouth. He tells her that he knows what it feels like to be helpless and scared. Todd breaks down as he tells her that one he thought he was cool and then the next he looks around and everybody hates him. He has no friends, no family...nothing. This seemed to touch Marty as she goes to wipe the tears from his face and as her hand touches him, she freaks and runs out of the room. Once out of Todd's room, Marty feels like she can let go of the hold Todd has had on her since that night and says "Good bye" to him.
