was founded in 1997 in reaction to the soring and abuse rampant in the Tennessee Walking Horse Show World. The primary purpose then and now is to educate horse owners as to the wide scope and methods of abuse.
Though the abuse is not limited to the Walking Horse industry, it was in this industry where it began and grew to such horrific proportions, the Horse Protection Act had to be enacted into Federal Law in 1970. These abuses have spread to include all shows, fairs, sales, exhibitions, etc...which involve all breeds of horses......if you own horses or just love horses, won't you please join us in our effort?"
