A Rising Star
Starring in simple tv commercials, sitcoms, and tv movies for the beginning of her career, Jamie Luner was, for the most part, an unknown actress. That all changed on January 21, 1996, when Aaron Spelling's Savannah debuted. Starring as the villianous vamp Peyton Richards, she became a household name to the followers of the show. Due to the narrow-minded, short-sighted, wouldn't know a good thing if it fell on them, execs of the WB network, Savannah was cancelled after one and a half seasons. However, now with her career jump started, Jamie had no trouble finding work. She was fought over by Warner Brothers and Fox almost instantly. The WB wanted her to costar with Tom Arnold in The Tom Show, a show that ended up lasting about six episodes before cancellation in the fall of 1997. Jamie turned them down and jumped ship and signed a contract for Melrose Place. Her character, Lexi Sterling, joined the show on the fourth episode of the fall in 1997. Crictics say she will probably be able to outvamp Heather Locklear, a feat that none of the other stars have been able to accomplish. After spending most of last season as a drug addict, and landing herself in jail (actually not her fault, it was her daddy who was the bad man), she has returned to her Peyton type ways. The "official" new season is not the old yet, and she has already successfully seduced a therapist to get him to spill the beans about Peter's fake kidnapping scheme. Also, the TV Guide Ad count is now at 4.

Pictures:
I've noticed that most sights have the same pictures, and to me that gets kind of old, plus I'm working with limited memory. So unless I find some new and exciting ones, I'll leave them up to the creators of other web pages.
The August '97 issue of 'Teen Magazine has a feature on Beverly Hills High School, Jamie's alamater. At the end of the article is a picture of her from her yearbook. I'll try and get a copy of the magazine someday and post that picture here.

Sound Bytes:
I had hoped to have some wave files downloadable, but they are major memory hogs, even zipped. As a result, I am unable to do so. As a result I can only do one at a time. I'll try to post one every two or three weeks. My first wave is the quote "No, no, no, sugar. I did not fail-because I haven't finished yet." It's from the episode entitled "Get Me To The Church On Time".

Download File(342,166 bytes)
Note: This is the first time I've experimented with ZIP files.
If it doesn't work,please e-mail me.
Please include what browser you are using, because I have recieved both positive and negative feedback.

Special:Jamie a singer? I now have confirmation that she did indeed do her own vocals in a group with her sisters (Heather Langenkamp, Brooke Thesiss and Jo Ann Willette) on Just the Ten of Us . One of my fave songs from that show is "Somewhere Between Like And Love", and it was solo by none other than Cindy Lubbock, Jamie's character. If you want a copy of the song, sign my guestbook and I'll email it to you (zipped, unless requested otherwise) as soon as I can. I've been having so problems getting it to send recently, but hopefully I'll get it working again soon.
