"Tug O' War", paper sculpture, 1998
Alone and safe,
I built these walls.
Anger, fear, doubt - forbidden.
I rest in peace,
Isolated.
In the soothing loneliness,
I weep.
In my moment of weakness,
I fail me.
Among the crumbled ruins,
Once my wall,
I AM NAKED.
You appear like a warm blanket,
A support for my shivering, feeble frame.
You are my shelter.
Enter - fear, doubt, anger.
In your moment of weakness,
You fail me.
Again I AM NAKED.
Alone.
To build again.
