The Face in the Mirror
a beautiful stranger, so young,
no knowledge of pain,
she has but one dimension.
her skin smooth, flawless,
what would she know of wrinkles?
in fact, she would be impenetrable,
if not for the sadness in her eyes,
betraying her blank demeanor.
only in those eyes,
do I recognize myself.
