Place de la Concorde

One of the stops in Paris was at place de la Concorde. You could see many things from that place. For example, Eifel Tower. Unfortunatelly, I did not have a chance to take a picture of the obelisk.

Place de la Concorde is formerly Place Louis XV, because it was created during his reign. There is also a bridge which links to the left bank. At the time when Louis XV reigned, there was no bridge. Passage from one bank to the other was by small boat. The bridge was built at the time of the Revolution. Stones from the demolition of the prison of La Bastille were used "so that" it was said, "the people could continually trample on the ancient fortress". The square was then renamed "Place de la revolution", and it was where executions took place. King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette were guillotined here.

As you could see, there is the Eifel Tower behind me. I hope you could recognize it. If not, you should visit Paris and go to Eifel Tower in order to find out on your own.
Behind me there is Avenue des Champs Elysees. Also, if you look carefully, you would be able to see a small picture of Arc de Triomphe. The Arc is small because it is located sort of far away from Place de la Concorde.
You can see enterance to Jardin des Tuileries behind me. This garden is connecting to Luvre. Actually, if you go through that garden you will be able to get to Place du Carrousel, to Pyramide and to Luvre.
