Family: Alone all his life. His late girlfriend Shoka was a daughter of a lord of the manor.

One of the most serious of all the Suzaku Seven, Mitsukake was first seen in the TV series, fighting Miaka for a trout. He lived alone with his cat Tama-neko, blaming himself for the death of his love, Shoka. Finding out from Tasuki, Hotohori, and Nuriko, that his girlfriend was still alive, he told them of his story, and concluded that Shoka was probably taken over by the demon. As they ran out of the hut, to save Miaka, he quickly shaved and cut his hair (he was pretty fast....) and he helped them defeat the demon in order to save Miaka. But in doing so, he had to kill his love...
