Breastfeeding may not always seem to come naturally as it "should" for a lot of women. That is why she needs all the encouragement and support she can get. I know that I would have probably given up on breastfeeding that first , crucial week after my son's birth if it hadn't been for the support given to me by my mother, my son's pediatrician, and my husband.
