If you are like me you never tire of going to good places to find out about collectibles. You want to know the best prices, you want to deal with people who have the love for all the collectibles that you have, and you want to get your information from as reliable a source as you can.

Miss Sniff will do her best to make her interaction as pleasurable as possible as we all go on our various 'hunts' for the missing pieces to our collections. This list of 'friends' is provided with their permission. I will not list anyone who I would not want to do business with myself. I promise! The following dealers, stores, newsletters and websites are great. The owners treat you with wonderful 'old fashioned' service. Remember when that was the norm but is now so hard to find? Brace yourself. At these places you are a friend and a valued customer.

• OH MY! It's a real ZOO - of lovable plush animals of almost every conceivable species! Galena Teddy Bear Company is located in a quaint historic town full of wonderful stores. But Galena Teddy Bear Company puts Santa's work shop to shame. If it is a plush animal, or Boyd's plush or resin you are looking for, then this is your store. They are a Gold Paw Dealer for Boyds and carry the full line. Their stores are located in Galena, Il and Red Wing, MN. As if this isn't enough to find in one great shop they also offer you Annette Funicello, Cottage Collectibles by Ganz, and Gund. Bill, Kathy and Julie are always willing to help you and share their knowledge. When you leave the store you will leave with three new friends.

• Kiles Gift Shoppe & Kiles Hallmark Shop are for you if you are looking for a store that carries lots of different collectibles. The staff is friendly and knows their product lines and are always willing to help you with your collecting. They are one of our largest gift and collectible stores in the area. There are two Kiles stores: one is in Bettendorf, IA. and the other in Rockford, IL. They sponsor many collector clubs and are a good source for special hard to find items. • Wants N Wishes makes shopping fun again. This is a smaller store with a lot of heart!From the second you come through the door you know you are welcome and have found a shop owner who cares for each person. Jo cares for her customers because they become her friends from the second you open her door. She will shareinformation and help you in any way she can to find that 'one special item'. The shop, located in Moline, IL, is a Gold Paw Dealer in the Boyd's Collection and carries the entire line. There are so many Boyds you will wonder how you can see them all. Jo also carries Shenendoah Keepers, Harmony Kingdom, Cherished Teddies, Charming Tails, Wee Forest Folk, Muffys, Steiff, etc., etc., etc.,... Dave & Linda Reinhart have taken over for Harry and Millie Croft to give you news, information, facts, and let you know about variations. This is a need to have newsletter. • I was a frequent visitor to The Contest Lady from the moment I got out on the net surfing (the first of the year). It was one of the first sites a friend gave me to look at. I was a fan from my first visit! It has been my pleasure to get to know Sally through our e-mails. She is a wonderful person who took time to help this novice.
