Our cats occasionally cry by the door at night. This problem can usually be solved with one blast from a squirt gun. However, there are times that the cats find that being chased by an angry, groggy person is a lot of fun, and thus they deliberately cry by the door for entertainment. Luckily, there is another, rather diabolical solution: Before you go to bed, set your vacuum up inside your bedroom, right next to your door. When the cat cries, press the "on" switch. This solution has a high success rate. (Obviously, this should not be done to extremely neurotic cats or felines with heart problems.)
