cat product recommendations

These are the three feline panelists who helped me review these products:
Molly
The Loud Toy Lover
Dinky
The Chewer and Fetcher
Winnie
The Chaser and Athlete

1: Clevercat Top Entry Litter Box
I am madly in love with these litterboxes. They are incredibly easy to clean, are excellent at reducing tracking, and the cats seem to like them fine. I started out with one, but gradually threw out all my other models to replace them with this (and I've tried many other boxes in my day). Molly, Dinky, Winnie, Hastings and especially I love this product.

One note though: I personally never saw any purpose for the liners for any litter box, including this one. Use Everclean cat litter, and you will be fine with odor control. For the side stains that all litter boxes get, dump the Everclean into another litter box, wash out the side stains, dry thoroughly then pour the Everclean back in.

2: Ever Clean Unscented Extra Strength Premium Clumping Cat Litter
Many people in the world know of my fierce love for this brand of cat litter. I have tried other brands and there is really nothing like it for the price. It is unscented yet provides incredible odor control. It is extremely easy to scoop, which means that you only throw away the dirty litter. You never, ever have to do a complete change of the cat litter. Ever. And your cats will love this litter.

I'm 7 for 7 on this one for feline approval.

3: Nature's Miracle Just For Cats Stain & Odor Remover
This is a great product. I was able to save a jacket on which some bad kitty peed. It was a strench that the dry cleaners could not remedy. I was also able to remove the smell and dark stain of urine from a hardwood floor.

I love this product.

4: Petmate Double Door Deluxe
These carriers, which have both top-loading and side-loading doors, are great because it's often easier to insert a cat through the top hatch then try to stuff him through the side one. One of my tricks for getting them into the carrier is to use the power of gravity--bring the cat over the top-opened carrier, raise him up in the air a bit, then quickly down. This will give you cat less of a chance to reposition himself to avoid passing through the hatch.

Shat, Molly, Agatha, Dinky, and Winnie hate this product, but that's to be expected.

The Un-recommendations:

Booda Clean Step Litter Box Titanium
I threw this one in the garbage after only a month. The biggest problem was that where the lid meets the base was shaped such that cat urine woud pool in the seam, and stink. And when I lifted the bulky lid off the base to scoop the litter, I'd get stenchy pee-sludge on my hands. Awful!
