Music

History:

Andy and Chris were origionally Noisy Gong, and then they adopted Eric, but due to musical differences Eric was no longer. Chris also joined Dan and Eric in their song "I'm Bored"...but it never got any further than that...Dan and Eric were in a band with J.J. and Keith. Dan was then out of that, and never was in the equation anymore for some reason. J.J. was out of the band then. Rick soon joined the band and eventually they broke up....anyway Noisy Gong had dropped it's name, but developed a style. Andy played drums, while Chris manned vocals and guitar. Chris has always been self-concious, and the vocals are no different. He distorted the voice for that reason in "Control Yourself", but does it now for the sake that he is in love with the sound. Chris and Andy also did a number of techno songs. The first was a fast paced beat bassline with some heavy distorted guitar, the second was a more happy song with gitar soloing the whole time, and the third a swing song (still lives on). **

Chris, Andy, and Eric got together on day and decided to make some improvision songs. The result was another version of "Control Yourself"(which Chris kept screwing up so they decided to screw it). After that they began reading out of childrens books...and made music to them. Chris discovered he could scream, and we all discovered something we never knew about Andy...something he regrets saying (so i won't mention it). Andy had to work, so Chris and Eric made a song out of a book about a character named Spider. Chris had guitar and vocals while Eric played the drums. The song was quite a hit amongst the peers, and was always entertaining. Some highlights are Chris screaming things such as"I HAD NEVER DIPPED AN EASTER EGG BEFORE!" and "BOO HOO HOO!". The beauty of it is that it was all improvised and worked out so perfectly. The song was done twice, but the second version is so much better. **One day when Chris was sick he decided to make some music on his own. It was a collection of some strange techno. One of the songs was a remix of the techno song he and Andy did. The last one he played both guitar and keyboard at the same time. ** Then the group decided to do a second Spider song...Chris had found another book. This one was entitled Spidah, and was more musically oriented. As all sequels are, no one really like it as much as the first. But it was not worse, only different. Andy took the drums on this one, Eric on guitar, and Chris on guitar and vocals. ** Eric's band has a name, King Mob, **Chris has made another solo project, a dadaist 45 min. trip into the subconsious.**one time while attempting to jam, chris wanted to use a turntable...all they could find was this old record player with a broken needle. A quick search went out and they were told pretty much that the machine did not exist...they then took on the name of the serial number that didn't exist...SR-313. **Chris was at it again in the basement with his solo stuff. Another dream-like quality style, but this time a kind of creepy feel. **there was a basement band party at Eric Laurence's house sometime.... Sr-313 opened...doing a poor show with their limited people...the show is recorded...it doesn't sound that bad on tape.. but i'm sure basement will have a decent bootleg eventually. King Mob played next... alot of talk from the audience about a lead singer. Big Band Jazzy Funk hit the stage last. B.Band J.Funk consists of Eric on guitar/bass, Andy on guitar/bass/vocal(not plural..just vocal), Rick on keyboards, keith on drums/(and was supposed to but wussed out on)MAd RhymES, and finally Chris on drums/clarinet/bass/(and would have done it if keith wouldn't have wussed out, but got caught up in the moment)vocals/shouts... the performance wasn't half bad...for never rehearsing and only chris, andy, and eric knowing the basis of the songs.. the first song it didn't go so well...but the band's hit Pianist was....a....damn it....it was a hit ok...happy?!?...the solo's made the song, that and the Funk...oh the funk.
