URBAN LEGENDS 2: THE FINAL CUT - SEPTEMBER 29, 2000 -

Generally when a horror flick doubles its budget its time for a sequel to be called in and that's exactly what happened. Personally, I loved URBAN LEGEND. I thought it was a great horror film because it had its own focal point. I mean the idea to kill on urban legends, what an awesome idea. However, why the hell would you make a sequel without the original stars? It's a death trap. Take a look at the bomb out sequels in the past who's original stars didn't appear. A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2, DEMONS 2, etc. On the plus side Loretta Devine, who played Reese in URBAN LEGEND, returns so that's okay I guess, but she wasn't a main character in the original. Anyways, I never judge a movie by it's previews or title so I'll check this one out too.

It was an urban legend that started it all. Now it continues on the Alpine University campus...Urban legend-style killings begin to occur on a movie set, in this non-sequel sequel to "Urban Legend". Urban Legends: The Final Cut follows Amy Mayfield (Morrison), a student at Alpine University who struggles to complete her thesis film on urban legends - only to have her crew members fall prey to fatal 'accidents.' Suspicious, Amy investigates and discovers a much more sinister hand at work. Now she must unmask the killer before she, too, becomes an urban legend.
