Chapter 13 - Mob Attack

I barely had time to protest before a group of girls pulled Ike away from me. Taylor and Ike were being dragged away from us by about 15 girls.

"No!" I screamed, suddenly pouncing at them, clawing my way to Ike. He reached for my hand, but I was just shoved out of the way by some girl. Alexandra managed to reach Taylor, just to be pushed to the back of the crowd.

I tried to go back in, but two girls pushed me hard, and I lost my balance from the impact, falling to the ground. Ike saw what had happened to me and jumped through the girls to my side. They dragged him away from me once more.

Just then the car pulled up and Walker Hanson came out, breaking up the frenzy of girls. The girls ran away, and a dazed Taylor and angry Isaac stood up from the ground.

Ike said, "I can't believe this."

"They were trying to kiss me and they pulled out my hair," said Taylor.

"I know," I said, "when I tried to go to you Ike, they shoved me. Hard."

Ike came and hugged me tightly. "I'm so sorry," he said. "It's not your fault," he told him, managing a smile.

"Come on," Mr. Hanson said, "let's go back to the hotel before anything else happens. You know what this means. You'll have to be extra careful, and I don't want you going out alone so much."

"I guess you're right," Taylor agreed. We all went into the car, arriving back at the hotel minutes later.

Walker and Diana went upstairs, telling Tay and Ike to be ready for a photo shoot in an hour. The four of us walked into the lobby, to find Zac talking to a girl.

"Hi guys!" Zac said, "come over here, this is Allison." A blonde girl Zac's age smiled at us.

"Come on Zac, we have to go get ready for a photo shoot," Ike said. Zac gave Allison a kiss on her cheek, blushed, then followed us to the elevators.

"Zac," Ike said,"while you were flirting, Taylor, Jen, Alex, and I were attacked by a mob of girls. We could've gotten hurt if mom and dad hadn't come. You're lucky you weren't there."

"Really?" Zac said in the elevator, "I'm glad I wasn't there."

Once upstairs, Zac said, "I really like Allison, maybe I'll ask her to be my girlfriend," he looked thoughtful.

"But Zac," I said jokingly, "what about me?"

"Oh don't worry, if it doesn't work out with Allison, I'll call you," Zac answered seriously.

"Okay," I responded, smothering a laugh.

"You know you shouldn't tease him like that," Ike whispered with a laugh.

"Oh don't worry Ike, he has Allison remember?" I said, smiling. Ike smiled too, then leaned down to kiss me. Our lips locked together for a few moments, then parted slowly and reluctantly when we heard Mr. and Mrs. Hanson banging on the door telling their three sons to hurry up or they'd be late for the photo shoot.

"Jen, Alex, you can come too if you want to," Diana offered.

"Okay," we both said, happy to go with our boyfriends. Then they left saying that they'd be back in 5 minutes to go. I brushed Ike's hair, and he asked me if I liked his hair better back in a ponytail or down.

"I guess I like it in a ponytail better, but you always look cute no matter how your hair is," I told him.

"Thanks," Ike said, blushing slightly. We all left for the photo shoot, arriving at a large studio, swarming with photographer, lights, screens, and cameras. Ike, Zac, and Taylor left for wardrobe, so Alex and I waited, standing by the shooting area.

They came out minutes later, dressed in stylish clothing. They posed, and the photographers clicked away on their cameras, stopping very often to scold Taylor and Ike for not paying attention, since all they could do was stare at us.

Finally, when Tay, Zac, and Ike weren't looking, somebody pulled us away and sat us in the far corner of the room, saying that we were too distracting.

"But we're just their cousins!" we protested. When they got a break from the photo shoot, a concerned Ike and Taylor stormed over to us, angry that we had been sent away. They apologized to us, and told the photographers that if Alex and I had to leave the photo area, so did they.

So the photographers agreed to let us stay, as long as Tay, Ike and Zac would pay attention.
