'Resurrection' box office update

In its third week in release, HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION pulled in another $1.03 million at the box office, making its gross-to-date $29.059 million. The film, which had a production budget of $13 million and a marketing budget of $7 million, has already turned a profit for distributor Miramax.


25th Anniversary DVD is coming soon!

The always reliable folks at Anchor Bay are reporting that a silver anniversary edition of HALLOWEEN will be unleashed on DVD next year. While no specific details have been announced, expect a plethora of bonus material and features, including audio commentary from cast and crew.


DVD box set on the way in the UK!

On September 30th, Anchor Bay will release a six disc special edition DVD box set in the UK. The set will include the first six HALLOWEEN films in both wide screen and pan and scan format. This will be a Region 2 release and as of now extras are not know.


'Resurrection' does $12.3 million at the box office

The weekend box office receipts are in and so far things are looking good for HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION. Variety reprts that the movie pulled in $12.3 million its opening weekend. That ranks it as the second largest opening for a HALLOWEEN film ever behind HALLOWEEN H20, which grossed over $16 million its first weekend in 1998.


'Halloween: Resurrection' special edition DVD already in the works?

Even though the movie has just now opened in theatres, plans are already in the works for a special edition DVD release of HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION. In a recent interview, director Rick Rosenthal has revealed that several cut scenes are likely to be included. In addition, he says they are working on bringing a multiple angle format to the disc that will allow the viewer to watch the entire film directly through the cast's cameras. But don't hold your breath. A DVD release probably won't surface until sometime in 2003.
