Illinois doesn't have a mandatory helmet law (thank god)... and maybe these kinda brainbuckets are cool for hot states like FL, where there is a law - but hell, if one of these didn't almost try to kill me once. Somehow the wind got in, and tried to pick it and my strapped in head off me on the hiway. Helmets should be a rider's perogative ... sometimes they'll save you, but I've seen more cases where they caused more damage.
