learn how to join the ring ...

Rules:

1) Your pages must pertain to German Shepherd Dogs.
2) The pages must not contain any obscene or offensive graphics or words or references to sex or drugs.
3) Place the Israeli GSD webring banner on the first page pertaining to your dogs.
4) Do not “bury” the Israeli GSD webring banner on a page with other web rings or links
5) Acceptance to the ring is at our discretion considering content, quality, audience, and other considerations. Commercial (product) sites generally will not qualify
6) There are many factions within the German Shepherd Dog world. Some people believe Ring Sport is better than Schutzhund, and visa-versa. Some people believe German-bred dogs are better than American-bred dogs, and visa-versa. Some people believe show-dogs are useless and only proven working dogs have merit in the breed. The list goes on...
The purpose of this ring is to form a community of sites and pages about the breed whichever side of the fence the owners fall on. This is a place where all can exist side-by-side for the enjoyment and education of both ring members and the “surfing” public.
Sites which defame one faction over the other, which defame one dog over the other, or otherwise could cause harm to the breed, will be denied membership.
The German Shepherd Dog is an international breed. In questions of breed standard the ring will generally recognize the standard of the country of origin.
If your pages can not or do not follow these rules, please do not go any further. Failure to follow these rules will force your removal from the ring.

Step 1

Save a copy (to your hard drive) of the Israeli GSD webring graphic you see below by right clicking and selecting “Save Image As”. Click here for other colour variants of the graphic.

Step 2

Fill out the form lower on the page to register your site and write down the Site ID number you are assigned. This will put your page in the Israeli GSD webring “Queue”, where it will remain there until you are added to the ring. This does not insert you in the ring; the actual insertion is done later.

Step 3

The ring HTML code will be e-mailed to you. Using your text editor (i.e. Notepad), copy the ring code and paste this fragment into the first page of your site. It contains the actual links to create The Israeli GSD webring. The code cannot be pasted as text in page creation programs. Make sure the fragment points to the actual graphic location on your own site. The Israeli GSD webring graphic link, however, should still point to https://www.angelfire.com/il/gsd/ring.html

Step 4

E-mail gsdcoi@hotmail.comasking to add you to the ring. Be sure to include your Site ID Number in the e-mail message. Your page will be checked to make sure it is worthy of addition and to make sure the Israeli GSD webring HTML fragment on your page is okay. After checking out your page, and finding everything in order, you will be added to the ring. You should then receive an e-mail telling you you've been added. That's all there is to it!
