AAA Verano de Escandalo, from Mexico City:
*** Las Brujas: Miss Janeth, Xochitl Hamada and Rossy Moreno vs Alda, Cinthia and Esther Moreno.- This is the first official match with all four Moreno Sisters on it, a year ago, on 98's Verano de Escandalo, Rossy turned ruda and joined las Brujas, now, she rejoins that team.
-- Xochitl starts the match overpowering Esther with a couple of clotheslines, Esther counters a powerbomb with an armdrag, and then is assisted by Alda to a double back body drop on Hamada, the Moreno sisters try the team up, but Hamada counters with second rope springboard reverse elbowsmashes, anyway, Xochitl and Rossy get spinning flying headscissored out of the ring so that Alda and Esther can deliver double somersault planchas!!! Cinthia goes for a tope but is intercepted by Janeth with dropkicks, Miss Janeth then goes through the ropes after missing dropkicks, Cinthia goes to the top and nails her with a side plancha! Back on the ring, the rudas take over and pile the tecnicos up on a corner, then Las Brujas go on corner splashing them, las tecnicas react reversing whips and setting the rudas ready for frankensteiners, but they can only get 2 counts... rudas start controlling the match outnumbering the Moreno sisters, they brawl for a while, Alda reverses a whip and makes Janeth hit missile kicks on Hamada, allowing the tecnicas to come back, the Moreno sisters dominate for a while with dropkicks, sentons and armdrags, the match gets even as they exchange some pin attempts, with timely saves by team mates or kicking out to avoid defeat. Pentagon came out with a rose and gives it to Esther, Rossy is not happy about that, so she and Pentagon argue, with Pentagon slapping her and earning the DQ for the tecnicas team. El Oriental comes out to attack Pentagon, sending him to the floor ready to deliver a top turnbuckle moonsault to the floor!!!! He continues beating Pentagon for a while.
*** Los Vatos Locos: MayFlowers, Nygma, Picudo and Charly Manson vs Antonio Silva, Carlos Gutierrez, Box Thai and Street Boxer.- AAA vs Kick Boxing match.
-- Mostly a big brawling, there were no tags or anything close to resembling a tag, so the 8 men stayed on action for most of the time. The boxers dominated a longer time, but after a few minutes, Manson staged the comeback with some chair shots, soon after that, Kick Boxer came out, besides him, Sangre Chicana got there, Chicana atacked the boxers and his Vatos Locos lost by DQ.
*** Los Vipers: Maniaco, Hysteria (II), Psicosis (AAA) and Mosco (II) vs Hijo del Perro, Blue Demon jr, Mascara Sagrada jr and Parka jr.- This is for the National Atomicos titles, however, this is a one fall only match. It is also billed as 'LLL vs AAA'.
-- There're several match-ups with some matwork, not really technical matwork, mostly Mascara and Parka jr hitting their spots while Los Vipers avoided using their rudo strategies, eventually, they have to use them, and all 4 of them end up on the ring at the same time, unfortunately for them, Hysteria and Mosco dropkick Psicosis and Maniaco out of the ring, Parka and Mascara Sagrada jr work on Hysteria and Mosco, sending them out of the ring with flyingheadscissors, the tecnicos tease tope suicidas forcing the rudos to duck, but Blue Demon and Hijo del Perro were ready for that and chairshot the rudos!! They made them sit down at the chairs so this time Parka and Sagrada could deliver over the top somersault planchas!! Demon jr lures Psicosis, who bellyslides but is chairshot by Blue Demon! Parka and Sagrada made it back to the ring, they try to throw Mosco and Hysteria out of the ring but the Vipers dodge the dropkicks and the tecnicos end on the floor to receive double Quebradas!! Perrito hits his senton a la aguayina on Psycosis, then goes back to the ring to deliver a running tope suicida!! Cibernetico came out, he and Perrito start fighting, in the ring, Maniaco gives Demon a blind foul and covers for the pin, next, it is Mascara Sagrada jr the one who gets pinned and Los Vipers win the match and the titles!!!
1.- Rudo brawling, they start beating everyone on sight and soon go after Cuije, beating him all over the place, Electro Shock does a frankesnteiner on Path Finder and Abismo hits the frog splash for the 3 count, more brawling follows and the rudos take this fall. 2.- More rudo brawling and Cuije-beating, after a few minutes, Alebrije reacts by faceslaming Abismo and Electro, tecnicos made the comeback brawling, Felino starts using a chair to beat his foes, Alebrije uses his reverse tope to send Abismo to the floor, then throwed Cuije to him, but Abismo catched, anyway, Alebrije nailed Abismo with the tope suicida!! Apche gets dropkicked out of the ring, then Sevilla hits a second rope Quebrada on him!! Electro Shock goes to the second rope, but Felino brings him down with a sunset flip pin and gets the 3 count. Path Finder back body drops Pentagon out of the ring, then nails him with an over the top out of control tope suicida!!! The rudos are counted out and the fall goes to the tecnicos.
3.- Alebrije wants to make Cuije fight with Abismo, but the midget is not that happy with that, everything is a trick to make Abismo the victim of some comedy spots with Alebrije and Cuije double teaming the rudo. Then Oscar enters to manhandle Apache with some of his usual spots. More of that with Felino over Pentagon and Path with Electro, then is time for more comedy with Alebrije, Apache and Cuije. The ending of the match comes with Pentagon dropkickng Path Finder out to the floor and then hitting a tope suicida, next, Apache assist Sevilla into a somersault plancha, then the rudo goes for an over the top rope back body drop (hitting Pentagon) !! Abismo, Alebrije and Electro Shock tried their assisted plancha spot but failed quite badly, Abismo goes on to fight Felino, who delivers quebradora con giro, but Abismo Negro takes off his mask and Tirantes gave the match to the rudos!!!
*** Surprise Luchador, Sangre Chicana and Cibernetico vs Perro Aguayo, Latin Lover and Canek.- This is Perro Aguayo's retirement from Mexico City match, so does that means he won't be on CMLL at all? Who knows. The surprise luchador was Pirata Morgan.
1.- Rudo brawling, they pin Latin and Canek. 2.- More rudo brawling until Perro ducks a slap from Chicana and stages the comeback with some brawling, Canek does a press into a backbreaker on Sangre to pin him, and Perro even delivers a tope suicida on Pirata Morgan to end the fall. 3.- The match continues with their normal stuff, after short time, Texano and Cobarde got to the ringside and attacked Perro, a big brawling with Perrito and everyone took over, eventually, Texano and Cobarde were taken away by some police officers and a brief ceremony for Perro's retirement followed.
*** Hair-Mask Cage match: Octagon vs Heavy Metal vs Jaque Mate vs Kick Boxer .- There is something to mention here, this match is in Mexico City, and the comission has always been opposed to Cage matches, but this time they let them do that (I guess), besides that, Pirata Morgan was on the show, I had read that he was not on good terms with CMLL (and the comission). Weird.
-- Usual rudo beating the tecnicos stuff, Octagon and Heavy start bleeding very soon. Jaque Mate took forever to escape from the cage in his match here in Torreon (that part was not aired on TV) so I expected to see him losing at Verano, but he was the first one to escape with no problem at all, then, more guys from the KickBoxers came out, leaded by referee Raul 'copetes' Salazar. The referee uses a pair of nunchakus (sp?) on Hijo del Tirantes, Tropicasas tried to make the save, but he got attacked by the kickboxers, meanwhile, Octagon jumped out of the cage and chased the boxers out, while Salazar beats Tropicasas, Tirantes to the rescue!! He goes and beats the living heck out of Salazar, Tropicasas gave him the nunchakus and Tirantes handed them to Heavy Metal!!! Heavy hits Kick Boxer, tries to climb the cage but is met by Kick Boxer. They fall back to the ring, Heavy does a bodyslam, goes to the top, Kick Boxer tries to grab Metal's foot, he misses, Heavy is out! No! Kick Boxer grabs him by the neck and makes him reenter the cage, they... go into a commercial break ?!? Back on action: Kick Boxer tries to get out, Metal pulls him down, Heavy goes to the top, Boxer gets him, Heavy punches him, once, twice, several times, Kick Boxer falls, Heavy escapes the match is over. After the match, Tirantes and Tropicasas shake hands, everyone is happy, Kick Boxer takes off his mask and said to be Nestor Martinez, from Alvarado Veracruz.
CMLL, Entre el Cielo y el Infierno, 66th Anniversary show, from Arena Mexico. (Aired September 26)
*** Blue Panther, Dr Wagner jr and Fuerza Guerrera vs Hijo del Santo, Olimpico and Negro Casas.-
1.- The rudo heat machine starts taking its time and arguing with the crowd, Panther was distracted by that so he couldn't see Hijo del Santo delivering the tope suicida on him, well, I couldn't see that either, not even on replays... in the ring, Wagner misses a plancha, Negro hits dropkicks to the knee and then 'la casita' for the three count! Shortly after that, Olimpico uses a octaclutch like hold to force Fuerza Guerrera quit and the fall is over!!!
2.- Panther and Wagner attack Negro, they hit him with double dropkicks to the head, then do the lift-press bulldog combo, Fuerza enters to put Negro into a crab, the tecnico submits, Olimpico enters to try to help his partner, but is soon dominated, Fuerza goes to the top turnbuckle, his friends place Olimpico on Fuerza's shoulder so 'el Mosquito de la Merced' can deliver a power slam, Fuerza Guerrera uses a double armbar hold to defeat Olimpico.
3.- The rudos brawled since the ending of the previous fall and into this one, they beat Negro for a while, Hijo del Santo entered but Panther placed him on the top turnbuckle and delivered a corner suplex!! Next, Blue Panther lifted Santito on his shoulders for Wagner to deliver Doomsday faceslam! Olimpico enters to try to help his partner, but gets DDTed by Dr Wagner jr, Fuerza hits a double underhook powerbomb on Olimpico and an elbow drop, later, Negro reacts against Blue Panther with some slaps and kicks, he places Blue Panther on the mat so Hijo del Santo can hit an elbow drop from the top, but Fuerza Guerrera made the save, Olimpico enters to punish Fuerza a while, Wagner and Casas trade some slaps, Wagner goes for the Driver but the tecnico escapes and delivers reverse DDT, then puts the rudo into and abdominal stretch, Blue Panther made the save, he and Fuerza double team Santito, Olimpico hits a side plancha on both, the rudos end on the floor so Olimpico can hit a step on the top rope springboard plancha on Fuerza!!! (He barely made contact with Guerrera there). Santito tried to pin Panther with a somersault flip, but couldn't, Blue Panther whipped Santo to a corner and hit a cornersplash, then a bodyslam, Panther went to the top (and waited forever there) but got pushed off by Santito, who nailed him with a plancha from the top to the floor, in the ring, Dr Wagner Jr hits a powerbomb for a 2 count, then a splash mountain for another near fall, Negro counters another powerbomb attempt, kick to the knee, kick to the face, he gets a waistlock on Wagner, who fouls him, no one saw that, Wagner goes for a four figure leglock or something, but Negro takes off Wagner's mask, ending the match in a DQ and the rudos win!!!
*** Val Venis, Apolo Dantes, Scorpio jr and Universo 2000 vs Brazo de Plata, Gigante Silva and Rayo de Jalisco jr.-
-- The tecnicos win after Silva hits a plancha.
*** Relevos Increibles: Villano III and Atlantis vs Shocker and Mr Niebla.-
-- Tag fall -- Mr Niebla and Villano exchange some moves, they go even for a few moments and then Mr Niebla gets Villano into an abdominal stretch, Shocker gets into the ring to kick Atlantis off the apron, brawling erupts with Shocker attacking Atlantis and Villano beating Mr Niebla out of the ring with the chairs from Arena Mexico, Shocker rips Atlantis mask open and delivers a DDT, then whips the tecnico to a corner and hits a cornersplash, slap, slap, slap, whip, Atlantis counters with quebradora con giro, Shocker ends on the floor, a sitting duck for Atlantis' tope suicida!! In the ring, Villano hits a clotheslines on Niebla, follows with a DDT, another clothesline, but this time Niebla escapes from the DDT! He hits Villano a couple of times and then nails him with his roll into a reverse tope!! Atlantis enters to support his 'partner', but ends getting another reverse tope, Shocker gets in to hit both oldies, but then is thrown out of the ring, Atlantis goes for a rana, but Niebla reverses, however, Villano re-reverses it for the 3 count and Mr Niebla is out!!! Shocker goes 1 on 2 for a while, he escapes from about half a dozen of near pins (maybe even more, since I could notice that they edited some time out), Atlantis gets Shocker into a bridge pin, but Villano enters to deliver short senton on Atlantis, allowing Shocker to pin Atlantis!! Both rudos celebrate for a while, Villano was on Shocker's shoulders, Villano performs a hurracanrana and sends Shocker to fight for his mask with Mr Niebla!!
-- Mask vs Mask fall -- Shocker charges at his foe, bodyslam, second rope elbowdrop, covers for the count, too soon, Mr Niebla attacks, but Shocker sends him to the floor with a side hiptoss, then nails the tecnico with a tope suicida!! They took almost the 20 seconds to made it back to the ring, Shocker tried to suplex Niebla into the ring, but the tecnico countered with a small package, for a 2 count. Shocker got a couple of near falls as well with powerbombs, the tecnico reacted and performed a bodyslam, setting the rudo ready to receive a moonsault plancha from the top! On a second attempt, Shocker rolled away, then put Mr Niebla into his side torture rack finisher!!! They got too close to the ropes and Niebla could reach them and break the finisher hold... Shocker hits Mr Niebla, goes for a powerbomb but the tecnico escapes and uses a crucifix pin on Shocker for another 2 count, Shocker uses a blind foul and goes for the pin, he uses the ropes to help himself and gets the 3 count!! But Ray Mendoza, the commissioner goes on to nullify the outcome and the match has to be restarted, soon, Mr Niebla uses a half powerbomb and puts him into 'la Neblina' to force Shocker submit and take his mask!!! Shocker said to be Yair Soria, from Guadalajara, 27 years old.
CMLL from Arena Mexico and Arena Coliseo: (October 3)
*** Fuerza Guerrera, Mascara Aņo 2000 and Cien Caras vs Olimpico, Lizmark and Emilio Charles.-
1.- Tipical Dinamitas fall. 2.- Tipical tecnicos reacting out of nowhere. 3.- The match got even here, both team traded some pin attempts, Lizmark went for a tope suicida, but found only Olimpico as target, Emilio tried to slap all of the rudos off, but at the end was out-slapped and pinned, ending the fall. After that, Caras and Mascara attacked Fuerza, since he is with 'los Boricuas' but nothing mayor happenend.
*** Violencia, Arkangel and Karloff Lagarde vs El Zorro, el Pantera and Ringo Mendoza.-
1.- Pantera goes on fast fighting with Violencia and hitting some of his cool armdrags variations, then is time for Ringo and Karloff to fight it out, I guess they might be feuding for Ringo's CMLL title, anyway, that lasted a few moments, Zorro went to fight with Violencia, who ended on the floor, but before Zorro could try anything, Lagarde dropkicked him out of the ring as well, Ringo charges with a shoulder block on Karloff, to the ropes, 'patada a la filomena', Ringo covers for the 3 count, Arkangel goes for the save but Zorro goes to the top and delivers missile kicks to prevent that and also pins Arkangel while Pantera did a near cornerpost tope suicida (in which he runs on the apron, and briefly enters the ring) to nail Violencia!!
2.- Tecnicos keep ahead outmanuvering the rudos, but then the rudos take over with a brief time of outnumbering and beat down, they even the fall count. 3.- Rudos are triple teaming el Pantera, they hit a spiked half powerbomb on him, then Karloff brings him down with a clothesline, but Zorro enters to even the action and kicks the rudos, sending Arkangel to the floor, Pantera does a (Super Astro -esque) tope suicida tease and then Zorro decks Arkangel with an over the top rope somersault plancha!! Pantera then goes for his diving tope to the floor on Karloff while Ringo pins Violencia to end the match.
*** Scorpio jr, Apolo Dantes, Zumbido and Bestia Salvaje vs Gigante Silva, Brazo de Plata and Rayo de Jalisco jr.-
-- The tecnicos made fun of the rudos for a time, then the rudos went over brawling, they tied Super Porky's shoelace to the ropes and went on 4 on 2 on the others. Rayo jr did his plancha from the top on Zumbido just because he felt like ( I guess) but that spot lead to nothing, since Porky took off his shoe and started shoeshoting everyone, earning the DQ for the tecnicos.
*** Dr Wagner, Shocker and Villano III vs Mr Niebla, Negro Casas and Atlantis.-
1.- Each rudo goes after his respective arch foe, they go on beating them, ripping masks and stuff for a while, Wagner goes on to place Negro on the top, and then delivers the WagnerDog, they whip Casas to a corner and then fling Shocker there, but Negro reacts with a boot to the face!! Negro is on fire, he kicks everyone, then Atlantis comes to hit quebradoras con giro on the rudos, Villano ends on the floor, Atlantis forces Shocker to deliver an over the top plancha on Villano, Mr Niebla and Atlantis then go on to deliver double topes suicidas!!! Negro scores the first fall with 'la casista'.
2.- Negro beats Wagner on the access ramp, Shocker goes over Mr Niebla for a while, but the tecnico balances the action, they go even for a short time, Negro and Wagner return to the ring and fight a while, Atlantis and Villano exchange a few pin attempts, then Shocker and Mr Niebla fight a little longer, Niebla clotheslined the rudo out of the ring, but Niebla was clotheslined by Wagner before the tecnico could go to the air, they traded some moves, with Wagner going for the Driver but Niebla escaping, Niebla charges but the rudo hits dropkicks to the knee, but Mr Niebla pulls la Neblina while Atlantis uses la Atlantida, there was some confusion as Atlantis lets go and Villano takes Atlantis mask off, ending the match in straight falls by DQ.
