*** Miss Janeth, Xochitl Hamada and La Venus vs Alda Moreno, Rossy Moreno and Yuki Miyazaki.- They've running an angle to get Rossy back with las Brujas, acording to it, Pentagon has a romantic interest on Esther Moreno, and Rossy has been against that since the beginning, Pentagon was Xochitl's boyfriend a while ago but they broke up because Pentagon was unfaithfull, well, I think the breaking up thing might be an angle, who knows... anyway, Rossy said that if Esther corresponded Pentagon, she would re-join las Brujas, while Esther said that she would help Pentagon to fight Xochitl and Janeth...

-- The tecnicas had no time to lose as they start the aerial offense less than a minute into the match, they sent the rudas to the floor and then Yuki did a step on the top rope then drop into a plancha, Alda assited Rossy into a side pescado and then performed an out of control somersault bodyblock!! Later, the rudas took over, and started controlling the match, but La Venus was not very cooperative, she is not that happy with Miss Janeth, remember that? Las Brujas had some teamwork, but the tecnicas reacted, Yuki sent Venus to the floor and then decked her with a somersault plancha from the apron, Hamada and Miss Janeth missed corner spears, so the Moreno sisters could also hit somerasult plancha, meanwhile, Yuki unlaced Venus' mask while they brawled on the ringside, they made it back to the ring and Venus used some hairpulling faceslams and a suplex to dominate the oriental lady, but Miyazaki managed to perform a german suplex, but couldn't hold the bridge for the pin, she connected missile kicks after that, but Venus took off her mask and snaped it to the tecnica, the referees saw her with the mask and declared the DQ. The rudas were interviewed after that, Venus badmouthed las Brujas, Janeth said that Rossy was the only teammate that has been of any value to them...

*** La Parkita and Octagoncito vs Mini Abismo Negro and Mini Psicosis.- The match opens with Mini Psicosis and Octagoncito going at it fast and trading some armdrags and holds, Parkita does some more spinning armdrags and flying headscissors, the tecnicos looked good but got distracted, allowing the mini Vipers to stage an offense and gang up on the mini tecnicos, Abismito even did his frog splash, but lifted Octagoncito before the 3 count could be completed. Of course, the tecnicos had to react and they did with Parkita reversing a powerbomb into a hurracanrana on Mini Psiscosis, he didn't score the pin there but Psicosisito had to leave the ring, Octagoncito countered a tilt a whirl back breaker into an armdrag, making Mini Abismo end on the floor as well, setting the mini Viper ready to a reckless over the top rope tornillo plancha!!! Octagoncito almost fell on his head there... Parkita went for a tope suicida, but his legs got stuck on the top rope and fell half on the ring half on Mini Psicosis... next, Mini Abismo and Parkita get to the ring, and the mini tecnico manages to hit a top rope springboard hurracanrana to defeat M Abismo, Mini Psicosis attacks la Parkita, and puts him away after a MDII, Mini Psicosis and Octagoncito fight a little, but Mini Abismo accidently low kicks his partner, allowing Octagoncito to take the match!! Psicosis (AAA) and Cibernetico came out, I guess they did some coersion on Mini Psicosis, as he ended attacing Mini Abismo Negro, Electro Shock and big Abismo Negro (II?) had to make the save and all six guys nearly engaged into a brawl, but a lot of men from the security staff showed up to stop them.

*** Psicosis AAA, Mosco de la Merced, Histerya and Maniaco (Vipers Atomicos) vs Path Finder, Oscar Sevilla, Parka jr and Mascara Sagrada jr.-

1.- I think they edited out a lot of stuff, they showed Sevilla and Parka jr doing some comedy spots and some armdrags and flying headscissors, then Path Finder entered to defeat Psicosis with a stardust press (I think, it was a ttb moonsault twisted into a 450§ splash), Path Finder landed right on Psicosis' (AAA) head!!! Oscar Sevilla pinned Hysteria with a hurracanrana, Mascara jr nailed Maniaco with a tope suicida. 2.- It's "lucha del extremo" time, with the Vipers using lots of foreign objects, including a chair, an aluminium baseball bat, and a metal pole or pipe or something, even Tirantes tought that they had gone too far, as he tried to take the bat off Maniaco, but no one called for the DQ, and the rudos evened the fall count.

3.- The rudo brawling lasted for a few more minutes, then the tecnicos brawled back, things cooled down somewhat and they started so trade some moves, both Parka jr and Psicosis ended on the floor, Hysteria decked them both with a not-so-good tope suicida (which looks more like a plancha), it was very much like Parkita's, Path followed the craze with a wild top rope springboard tornillo! Then came Maniaco with another tope suicida, Mascara Sagrada jr used Tirantes to do a referee springboard somersault dive which almost made him fall on his mouth, Maniaco did yet another tope suicida, Apache came out and Oscar Sevilla went after him, Billy Boy also got to the ringside area and both started beating el Apache, in the ring, Psicosis was manhandling Parka jr, but the tecnico faked a foul and Tirantes gave them the match.

*** Abismo Negro (II, I guess), Electro Shock and Cibernetico vs Heavy Metal, Felino and Latin Lover.- About a year ago, Cibernetico and AAA president-owner, Antonio Pe¤a, got into a lot of fights and arguments, think of it as a reverse Mcmahon-Austin less pushed feud. Pe¤a said he would fire Cibernetico from PAPSA and the Leader of the Vipers said he was quitting anyway and that he wouldn't sign another contract. The contract was done last March, but the signing ceremony was to be held this time in Queretaro, I think that it was in Queretaro where the Vipers stable was created... all 7 Vipers were in the ring with Pe¤a, who called los Vatos Locos as his best men, Cibernetico bad mouthed the crowd and said he wasn't signing anything, but Pe¤a told him that he hadn't read the small print which said that he had to notify Pe¤a that he wanted to get off AAA in the 90 days since the old contract had expired, or else, the contract was self renewed... so Cibernetico HAD to stay on AAA!!! Cibernetico said he was leaving anyway and that he would take his Vipers with him, save Abismo who was never of any interest for him... Electroshock also decided to stay away from Cibernetico, so Psicosis AAA is now Vipers second in command... Of course a brawl errupted there and Cibernetico powerbombed Manson through a table...

-- Well, they used a lot of time to run the contract angle, so they had to keep the actual match short, I guess they did enough to keep the ticket paying crowd happy, but there was nothing spectacular on it, in the second fall, Cibernetico had to work the full time on his own, he even kicked out of a pin attempt in which the three tecnicos had piled up on him and then pulled an offense in which he managed to clothesline down every tecnico, but it was useless, eventually Felino and Heavy Metal teamed up to make him submit, Cibernetico used a chair on Abismo but Electro helped his partner to get some revenge, a big brawl with the Vipers Atomicos followed just before the show ended.

Televisa, CMLL from Arena Mexico, taped August 20, 1999.

*** Torneo Cibernitcio-- Ultimo Guerrero, Satanico, Rey Bucanero, Shocker and Zumbido vs Ringo Mendoza, Super Astro, Tony Rivera, Olimpico and Solar I.- I don't know why they made this match, they called it 'torneo cibernetico', but I don't think any championship was at the line, I think CMLL used too many of their older guys (specialy on the Tecnicos) instead of giving the youngsters a chance to be on a big show.

-- Olimpico and Shocker worked a lot and maybe they will be feuding soon, Satanico got a very early pin on Solar after blocking a short rana, Infernales 99 teamed up on Ringo Mendoza, but the tecnico was then able tu use 'la mezcale¤a' to make Rey Bucanero submit. Later, Zumbido pinned Ringo with a weird indian leglock with bridge with pin combo, I don't have a clue about what the name to that might be... Tony with a Hurracanrana over Satanico, but Ultimo Guerrero hits a rock bottom on the tecnico, then a belly to belly suplex, places him on the top turnbuckle and deliver the reverse corner suplex to get the pin, Olimpco goes on to fight Ultimo and defeats him with a small package, Shocker goes after Olimpico, he powerbombs the tecnico and then uses a death valley driver for a 2 count!! Olimpico uses another small package to get the match. There was more stuff going on in between the eliminations, almost everyone did their usual spots, and I guess they edited out something, since Super Astro, Bucanero and Zumbido were never eliminated, or at least I never saw that.

*** Dr Wagner jr, Pierroth de Puerto Rico and Villano III vs Hijo del Santo, Negro Casas and Atlantis.-

1.- The rudos jump on the tecnicos before the announcement, they start beating them up and soon Wagner powerbombs Santito and gets the pin, Villano fireman carry slams Atlantis and then goes to the ttb to deliver a senton and the fall is over after the 3 count. 2.- More rudo brawling, then it is tecnico brawling, things settle down a little, Pierroth and Wagner end up on the floor and Santito assisted Negro to a pescado plancha, but both rudos were able to catch him still, so Hijo del Santo had to deliver a tope suicida on Negro so that he could bring the rudos down, I don't know why I think that should have hurted Negro more than Wagner and Pierroth ... Atlantis and Villano are left in the ring and La Atlantida ends the fall.

3.- Santito and Negro kept slamming Pierroth and Wagner to the annoucer's booth, it seems that Villano got injured and a stretcher came out for him, but Atlantis kept kicking and stomping him, the other guys went inside the ring and Santito did a somersault flip on Wagner, who nearly blocked the move, but was clotheslined down by Negro, Pierroth powerbombed Negro and went for the pin, Santito springboarde over both of them to deliver hurracanrana on Dr Wagner jr, but Wagner turned it into a Lygerbomb, the referees took too much time to make the count, the tecnicos kicked out, Atlantis used the stretcher on Villano and it looked as if the referee had declared the DQ, but Negro pinned Wagner with a huracanrana and Santito used 'la de a caballo' on Pierroth so the match went to the tecnicos.

*** Kurgan, Apolo Dantes, Mascara A¤o 2000 and Cien Caras vs Brazo de Plata, Emilio Charles and Gigante Silva.- Charles starts working against the local rudos, he more or less gives more than what he takes, and sent Carmelo Reyes to the floor, so he could go to the apron to deliver a split legged senton, Chucho Reyes follows with an over the top pescado plancha on Charles, next, it is Super Porky with a tope suicida!! That put those four guys out of the match... Apolo is beated by Silva but Kurrgan enters, both kick and stomp Silva around for a while, until Apolo goes to the top but hits missile kicks on Kurgan, Silva clotheslined Dantes out of the ring, bodyslam on Kurgan, plancha from the second turnbuckle, 1,2,3. Universo 2000 goes to the ring to taunt the tecnicos, he tries to get away but Rayo de Jalisco jr cuts him off, Rayo then beats Caras and Mascara a while, in short, he's back... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

*** Mr Niebla IWRG vs Mr Niebla CMLL.- Momentos estelares was quite good this week, it had like half a dozen cool spots, including on of the sickest bumps I've ever seen, with Riki Marvin going for a second rope springboard senton, but missing target and falling quite nastly to the floor on his back!!!

-- Naucalpan's Niebla comes out with 'el escuadron de la muerte' and Dr Wagner Jr as his second, the CMLL guy comes with Atlantis. Before the bell, Wagner slaps Arena Mexico's Niebla , so he gets sent back to the locker room, IWRG Mr Niebla attacks and soon rips his opponent's mask open, and goes on punching his face, so CMLL mister Niebla starts bleeding, Shocker cames out to serve as second... they cut forward to Mr Niebla CMLL delivering a tope suicida, but 'Shocker pulled the other Niebla out of the way' so Niebla cmll missed to made contact with anyone, he more or less felt on his arms and rolled on, so the bump was not that vicious... They made it to the ring and the cmll worker gets two near falls, one with a short rana and the second by reversing a suplex with a small package, iwrg Niebla gets a 2 count after a ttb senton. CMLL Mr Niebla gets another near fall with a crucifix, then goes to the ttb to deliver a moonsault, he refuses to make the cover and goes to the top again, but this time he misses the move and almost got pinned with a bridge. Niebla from Naucalpan goes to the top to perform a side plancha, but CMLL guy reverses and gets yet another near pin, then a casita, CMLL Niebla tries missile kicks but the guy from Naucalpan reverses into a powerbomb for a 2.5 count, finally, Mr Niebla CMLL powerbombs Mr Niebla IWRG and puts him into 'la neblina' submission hold to take the match, name and mask. IWRG Niebla said to be Miguel Angel Guzman, 27 from Puebla.

Both shows were very good this time, I liked AAA a little better, they took too long to do the Vipers' split angle, but it ended up being good, the three first matches were good and had some good dives, but they couldn't reach their better matches, anyway they beat any Hermanos Dinamitas match any day, and their storylines are getting interesting with Rossy returning to las Brujas and the Mini Vipers involved in the split... Momentos estelares almost made CMLL come on top, but Rayo's return set them back a lot, besides that, the masks match was only OK, the some of the near falls looked too fake for my taste, and the Atlantis vs Villano feud seems to be going nowhere.
