IWRG from Arena Naucalpan, taped Sunday 4, 1999.

*** Turbo vs Maligno.- Turbo looks to be young and very acrobatic, he did some interesting stuff and seems to have some potential, but Maligno outmuscled him and took the match with a double armbar submission move.

*** Black Thunder and Rockambole jr vs Multifacetico and Zonick.-

1.- Rockambole and Multifacetico work most of the time, Black Thunder might be too green yet, something I've forgot to mention earlier is that it looks as if the IWRG guys are enforcing the correct tag rules now. The ending of this long fall has Multifacetico going to the top turnbuckle to nail Rockambole with a plancha, Zonick attacks Black Thunder and seems to be in his way to score the fall after a second rope springboard tope, but Rockambole made it back to the ring, they made it 2 on 1 on the tecnico, later, Multifacetico enters to help Zonick block a double suplex, so they can pull yet another goofy submission hold.

2.- Multifacetico does some acrobatics and the match picks up, he made Thunder and Rockambole to fight each other, but after a while, they kiss and made up (I always wanted to say that on a Vatos Locos match). The rudos try to take over the fall but after a few moments of control, Zonick does a double underhook suplex and gets the 3 count on Black Thunder, Rockambole jr four near pins on Zonick, who has to tag out, but Multifacetico is pinned after a 1/2 powerbomb... Zonick uses a submission hold to get the match.

*** Punch Power, Mercurio Rojo and Dr Cerebro vs Micke Segura, Fantassy and Mega.-
1.- Dr Cerebro and Punch Power get the crowd going with their constant intermissions, mainly spoiling Micke's work, Dr Cerebro goes on to do some matwork with Fantassy and then the pace picks up when Mega fought Punch. Fantassy got sneak attacked and the rudos stablished the gang tactics, but the tecnicos pull off triple drop kicks which made the rudos go out of the ring, so they could deliver their highspots, Mega did a monster step on the second then on the third rope and plancha, Micke delivered and over the top somersault plancha, while Fantassy did a tope suicida, cool dives although the cameramen were not very good... the tecnicos win by countout.

2.- Not aired. 3.- Tecnico brawl, then Mercurio and Punch Power start beating Mega, rudos beat everyone on sight, Punch and Micke start fighting harder, they might be headed into a feud, here, Punch does a back body drop on Micke who almost fell on his neck!! Segura strike back with some quebradora con giro, a headbutt, and a back body drop... Mercurio overpowers Mega, but the tecnico rallies back and sets Mercurio ready to receive a top turnbuckle moonsault... but Mega misses target! Both teams start getting near falls, maybe a little too many, until Punch pins Micke and the match finishes.

*** Mascara Sagrada, Super Parka, Guardia, Pirata Morgan, Moonwalker, Maniac Cop, Matador and Policeman.- Battle Royal, nothing too good there, it served to set the following matches:

** Super Parka vs Guardia.- Basic stuff, Super Parka does a tope suicida, gets some near falls, later, misses a plancha so the rudo can get some offense, Guardia goes to the top turnbuckle but is armdraged down, crazy stuff with Super Parka making Guardia to hit a cornersplash on the referee, then making the referee to do a sunset flip pin on Guardia!!! Super Parka made the 3 count!! The rudo was confused so Super Parka used a cradle on the distracted Guardia to get the match.

** Pirata Morgan vs Moonwalker.- I don't really know why they have Moonwalker working this high on the card... this match was all Pirata brawl.

** Maniac Cop vs Matador.- They spend some time trading holds, Maniac Cop gets some advantage and goes on to punish the right arm of the former Halcon Dorado jr, Matador uses armdrags to balance the match, he even can deliver a tope suicida, they get into the 'miss from the top turnbuckle' secuence, until Maniac can hit a top turnbuckle senton, and gets the win.

** Policeman vs Mascara Sagrada (original).- They took it to the mat and stayed there, no highspots or anything, they went on to rip each other's mask, and Mascara used a leglock to make Policeman to quit.

The Battle Royal and the matches serve as elimination to produce a contender for the Heavyweight (or is it juniro HW?) intercontinental IWRG title. So the winner of the tourney will go on to face Pierroth jr!!!! My bet is that Mascara Sagrada should win this, Mascara Sagrada vs Pierroth was one of the hottest feuds in the early 90's, so maybe they'll continue that here.
