The car above that I am standing by is the car I am currently building which I bought in 1991. The yellow car in the picture below it is the car I owned from 1980 to 1990. I learned a lot about "67 Camaros in that time frame and had a lot of ideas I just had to put into real life. The first "67 was the least expensive and most dependable car I have ever owned. Here are the efforts of all of the best thoughts I have come up with to make a Cor-maro. I am happy about most of them and wish I had an unlimited bank account for all of the others. The new car will be the only conversion I have seen that uses the same engineering design that was uses only four mounting points for the drivetrain as on the 84 to 96 C4 Corvettes. Other cars use transmission crossmembers up front and three point mounting in the rear.I am also retaining the fiberglass springs to see how they work out. It won't cost me anything to see.Have you seen the cost of a really good set of coil overs ?!!!. We will all get a chance to see if it rides and handles as well or better? The stiff chassis and soft suspension philosophy is something I picked from from Herb Adams years ago and have always liked the softer ride for the street. With a chassis as stiff as this one I hope it will be a very responsive car yet comfortable. Any comments are always wanted and welcomed! Thank you, Jim.
