Challand 8th Grade Basketball 1999

In Recent Action:

The Challand 8th grade basketball team advanced to the championship game of the Montmorency Holiday Tournament with a 54-11 victory over Ashton-Franklin Center, a 42-32 victory over East Coloma and a 49-35 win over Riverdale-Nelson.

Casey Carbaugh led Challand with 17 points vs. AFC and 12 points vs. East Coloma. Ryan Fischer scored 17 points to lead the Lancers vs. Riverdale-Nelson

Challand defeated Annawan 46-40 in the Championship game on Wednesday night. Casey Carbaugh and Santana Castaneda each scored 11 points to lead the Lancers. Challand finishes the season at 16-4, including 12 straight victories to close out the year.

Ryan Fischer and Casey Carbaugh were both named to the all-tournament first team and Aaron Connelly was selected by his teammates to receive the Nim Scanlon Memorial Award for his pride, hustle, dedication to teamwork, and enthusiasm when playing the game of basketball.
