Welcome to the world of cyberspace time travel. Come with us as we blast
to the past in search of the historical eras of Fairfield, Illinois, as well
as news flashes from around the world during the years of 1910, 1912, 1935, l940, 1942,
1950, 1955, l957, 1969, 1970 and 1987. As your ride through time, you will experience a sense of
nostalgia and history when you view the news happenings of our city and the
world. Our project is based on the story of New Providence from the
reading series Don't Forget to Fly published by Macmillan/McGraw-Hill.
In the story, the authors, Renata von Tscharner and Ronald Lee Fleming,
show how the town of New Providence has changed through the years. In our
project we will show how our city as well as the world has evolved through
the ages. So sit back, fasten your seat belts and emerge into our world of
