This was a tough decision - at first; Everybody's talkin about swappin 700R4's into their cars. I wouldn't mind the overdrive. But with my predicted HP range I didn't wanna take a risk and start losin gears. Slicks would totally kill it. The design is just not made to handle over 500hp(and this figure is very optimistic). I could've ordered a 4L80E, but because of the pain of installation and the price tag, I opted for a good 'ol TH400, built by Turbo Terry. There was one problem though. The 400's shifts are operated via a vacuum modulator. Well, there is no vacuum when my car is in boost, therefore my automatic would in theory not shift properly into later gears. Of course I could get a manual valve
body (or treat my automatic like one) but Terry looked around and got me a mechanical modulator.
Works decently but I still prefer shift myself.
