Heerlen, The Netherlands

I was born in Heerlen, The netherlands in the southeastern province of Limburg. However, my family and I lived in Brunssum about 15 miles east of Heerlen directly on the dutch/german border. Brunssum is south of Eindhoven, northwest of Stuttgart, and Southwest of the closest city, Frankfurt. I lived in this small town, home of the NATO base AFCENT from November 1979 until June of 1983 when my father was PCS'd (permanent change of station) to Elmendorf AFB, Alaska.

The photo shown was taken not far in Kinderdijk, the Netherlands. I was unable to find any pictures of Brunssum or Heerlen that were interesting enough to post here. Eventually i'll scan some personal photos and post them here instead.
