District 22 Annual Meeting was held on October 14, 1999 at 7:00 pm at the Ramada Inn, located off the Interstate 80 and Houbolt interchange in Joliet, IL.

The Illinois PTA District 22 Scholarship Selection Committee met twice on March 6 and March 9, 1999 to review the 55 applications from 28 high schools in Grundy, Iroquois, Kankakee, Kendall, Will, Livingston, and Lemont High Schools.
The following students were selected as follows:
- 1st place winner of $1,000.00 Jennifer Weerts Herscher
- 2nd place winner of $ 500.00 Malinda Bergner Plainfield
- 1st alternate Randall Fortin Manteno
- 2nd alternate Lisa Walker Watselka
These awards are able to be given because of the money given to the Scholarship Foundation at the Founder's Day Banquet.
I am looking foward to seeing all of you at the Illinois PTA Convention this year; in Oakbrook from May 4th through May 7th. National Convention will also be held in Chicago, June 24th through the 27th. There are so many good things happening this year. Come out and join us at Convention for some excellant workshops, information, and fun!
