Here is a few frequency's where you can hear information about the storm conditions, in our area.
TAZEWELL COUNTY'S "esda" OPERATIONAL FREQ. is The CAR to CAR freq. is 155.640
162.475 NATIONAL WEATHER RADIO, constant weather information!
146.910, 146.610, and 146.475 are Amatuer Radio Freq. that will have some
weather announcements from Lincoln Weather, and you can listen to the spotters
as they report weather conditions.For those that are interested, you can register with Lincon WX Service to be able to send in Weather Reports from you home, go to "http://www.crh.noaa.gov/espotter/", or just CLICK on the ABOVE link (WEATHER SPOTTER) this is a sign up page and you do not need to be a member of ESDA, the local FIRE Dept.
ROAD CONDITIONS, can be optained from the Illinois State Police, and your
local Sheriffs Dept. Check the TV stations also!!!!
154.340 this is a Amb/Fire freq. and IF the personel are sent out, there
may be some reports.
155.580 for activity that the Mason County Sheriffs dept. has reported.
WHAT IS THE BEST FREQUENCY besides the Nat. Weather Freq. tune to a local
radio station, sometimes they will give information.
NOTE, as with any gov. freq. this information is for your use only, but
if you hear of a severe storm condition I personly would not hesitate
to call my neighbor to warn them.
