In Roman mythology, under the name 'Cupid', he was the naked infant son and companion of Venus(Latin/Goddess of Love).

EROS was the god of love in Greek mythology. He was represented as one of the primeval forces of nature, the son of Chaos, and the embodiment of the harmony and creative power in the universe. Soon, however, he was thought of as a handsome and intense young man, attended by Pothos ("longing") or Himeros("desire"). Later mythology made him the constant attendant of his mother, Aphrodite, goddess of love.

In Greek art Eros was depicted as a winged youth, slight but beautiful, often with eyes covered to symbolize the blindness of love. Sometimes he carried a flower, but more commonly a golden bow and arrows, with which he shot darts of desire into the bosoms of gods and men.

Myth5:

Eros was a small boy who never grew up. He had a bow and a set of two arrows. One of the arrows, if shot into the heart, would cause an undying love. The other arrow produced an undying indifference. Eros often amused himself by shooting one person with the love arrow and another person with the indifference arrow and making sure they met. Eros would then stand by, laughing, as the love-struck person would spend their life in persuit of the indifferent one. Eros was considered to be the son of Aphrodite and Hermes although some legend describe him as being born at the beginning of Earth. The Romans renamed him Cupid(Latin/God of Love&Desire).
