Brain C. Sadowski Where it all began....
I started playing when I was about 12 years old.
I was listening to bands like the 'Police' and the 'Cars', but I was playing like the 'Monkees', so I figured out then, instead of playing covers that I would start writing on my own music.
The first song I ever wrote was a song with local kids on the block (The Burnham Boys) called " Dead cats dont climb trees". I quickly realized people wouldnt listen to a song about dead cats from a 13 year old or anybody, so I gave it up for a while.
I met some people growing up over the next few years who I thought would be good musical influences and encouragement for me ( Andrew Grossheider formerly of 'Big House' and 'The Trays' ), and my taste of music was changing, this time for the good. I was listing to bands like the 'Byrds', 'Beatles' and 'Buffalo Springfield' ( the three "B's" ), who changed my style from punk to a more mature and emotional style, with still a little edge that I learned from Neil Young
My influences also involved 'REM', which led me to Peter Buck, who's guitar playing I found at that time to be the style I was and wanted to play.
I dug deep into Bucks' influences, which led me to my favorite guitarist.. 'Roger McGuinn'...WOW, Did this guy know how to play a Rickenbacker or what? I loved that sound so much that I really wanted to be a serious musician, and eventually I picked up my own Rickenbacker to use as a musician...And yes its a Roger McGuinn Ric. too.
All has been said and done and Dizzy Heights is my big influence right now.
Rock On.............
