Caring Counseling Ministries began in January of 1989 for the purpose of providing counseling from a Biblical perspective, at an affordable cost, to persons living in Southern Illinois. Counseling services are provided at five locations in Southern Illinois.
SUMMARY OF SERVICES PROVIDEDCounseling sessions are conducted from a Biblical perspective and include (but are not limited to) the following areas of counseling:
Staff members are also available to do marriage and parenting workshops for area churches.
COST OF SERVICESFees for counseling services are based on a sliding scale depending on the family income and number of persons in the family. The maximum amount on the scale is $75.00 and the minimum is $30.00.
The counselor will negotiate a contract with the client during the first session using the rates as outlined on the sliding scale.
GUIDELINES FOR COUNSELING SESSIONSWHAT TO EXPECTYour first session is basically an information gathering session during which time both you and your counselor will attempt to define the problem as well as gather pertinent information. Also during this time you will receive information regarding such matters as confidentiality and treatment plans. Subsequent counseling generally lasts eight to twelve sessions.
