Timothy Sexton and Esther Sisel

Timothy Sexton was a member of the New Jersey 3rd Regiment during the Revolutionary War, Timothy spent the winter at Valley Fordge with George Washington and his Army.

he may very well have been the father of Leannder Hatfield
who became the wife of Timothy's son Moses

On August 18, 1782 Timothy married Esther Sisel in York Dist. South Carolina. Timothy is believed to have been born in Ireland about 1750 he died June 18,1832 of causes related to injuries recieved in the War for Independence while living in Morgan Co. Tenn. Esther was born about 1755 in Morgan Co., Tenn. and died January 23rd 1850 in Morgan Co., Tenn.
